lol surely he meant 53? Do they actually make a 43mm wheel? lil beat downs were only 48mm  ;D

60mm as absolute go dumb for me, I can start to feel my skating suffer a bit but it’s usually worth it. I am just enjoying parking the car and trying to skate around a bit more these days

This is a good idea, and gives me an idea

prolly just gonna be skating flat in my garage working on the mechanics of tricks this winter, trying to get some stuff back. I've only been able to skate in winter a couple times my whole life. Went to some indoor parks a handful of times basically. Not a bad idea to set up a DBX eagle and put some really small wheels on there, can flip it easier and if I land dumb the deck might not explode

If there's no ice and snow I can rock the rain/cruiser board

I've been traveling a ton for work and wanted some 93's. Called every shop in every city or town I've been to and no one had any. Most give you the same "they're out and don't know when they will have them" answer. Some repeat the "They can't get the chemicals due to a shortage/govt buying it all" line they probably got from here.

Finally got a set of 54 Classics at a longboard shop that also had a small standard skate counter.

I assume they probably have problems procuring whichever material is also used for the 93s. There are a couple of 97s in the fall drop, but those will be the old formula. The old 97 formula will be available as staples in Conical Full and Radial Full by Fall Drop 2.

Hell yeah, I prefer the super chunky "hard core" grip from Powell/skate one to the snow skate foam+plastic bibs but having a rain/dirt/whatever cruiser is the jam

93 soft sliders actually would probably be so so good for my outdoor vehicle. I have a set that I used for a few months that is begging to get set up again.

sucks we cant get those new formulas so soon after them dropping, but honestly 99a is totally fine and still kinda better in some areas. you are definitely trading some things away when you ride new formula (but gaining others).

at least it seems like 99a isnt going anywhere

I was using the 58mm 93a radials for a bit here in Alaska and it definitely dampens rough ground and works really well. I was sad the classic shape stopped at 54 for the 93s, a 56 classic in 93 would be dooooOpe

There were bigger sizes planned in the Classic 93 duro wheels, but I guess everything has been put on hold indefinitely now with whatever is going on.  The 58 mm Radials with rounded side walls would be the closest to a nice big wide Classic shape, or even the 56 mm Radials for that matter, just rounded off a little.

Not even going to list all the options that were going to be made for the 93 duro wheels, but others have said a few on here before.

Any which way, I guess there are still some out there, but definitely dwindling numbers, especially in the more well known areas / shops.

For people who don't go through wheels that quickly, it might not be such a big deal, but for others that would have those wheels on their daily rider and replace every month or so, I guess their time on them is very limited unless they have been able to track down a dozen sets or more, just to stock up and keep their current setup rolling.

I can't help but wondering what the other uses of said product would be.  Given wheels are a composition of various things, chemical components must be pretty tricky, but are they needing to "softly slide" in on someone, or something...  Sounds funny any which way.

Completely unrelated to "Snuggle bandit" stories?

My best guess would also just be wheels for remote vehicles they are using to shoot guns. They are super quiet but really durable. i can kinda see why you would want that type of wheel on a remote military vehicle that goes on street.

Oh, the Snuggle Bandit! Well check it out. I’m horny, I don’t got no shame in my game, you know? And, uh, when they jump in the shower and they come back to the bed. I’ll be on their bed, and IÂ’ll just kick back on their bed and go, “Hey, come on, let’s hang out.” And they’ll lay down, and I’ll corrupt their minds, manipulate them. ’cause I’m a good manipulator. And then I’ll vandalize their bottoms. There’s a variety. There’s bubble butts, some with flat asses–

God, Andy, you’re fucked.

I like girls too though. Don’t get me wrong. But you gotta deal with what you got. And I make fifis for all the Mexicans. You get a towel and a Glad bag, and you roll it up and tie a rubber band or a shoelace or just bed strings from your sheet or whatever, tie it around and its safe sex. I sell them for two bucks a pop. I made like $15 in half an hour.

What’s stopping the other guys from making them themselves? Are they just r*******?

They’re Mexicans, like, they’re real shy and stuff, so they’ll go close the door in their cell, and they’ll use them. The white dudes, they all know about that, and then plus they got me, the Snuggle Bandit.

Sorry to bring that up.

Can't believe it is well over ten years now since his Beatdown wheels came out, of which I got a few sets as they came with a free pair of those long / tall three stripe Stance socks.

Never actually skated any of them either, just had them (and still do).

From 2012, before he got kicked off everything DLX for stealing from the warehouse.

In all honesty it's probably something unrelated to wheels at all. It's impossible for us to know without knowing the specific compound and having the secret inside info on what the military is using it for

Quote
Polyurethane (PU) is a versatile material widely used in military applications due to its durability, protective properties, and ability to withstand harsh conditions. It is used in personal protective equipment, diving equipment, cushioning, and even in ship construction. Beyond these, PU is also essential in blast mitigation, insulation, and sealing within military contexts.

Anyways I'm holding 2 sets of 93's myself rn. Unfortunately going to have to set up a new set soon since my current wheels are feeling tiny. I'm not expecting to find more, so this must feel like when people couldn't find Cockroach Wheels in the early 90's, or something like that
