Surprised TK wasn't dismissed from that roster, too. As someone said very well earlier in this thread, his shoe is a hot seller and his graphics are always on point and probably do really well because of that. I just think TK could try way harder, though. His parts are all fakie to ledge/handrail footage. I think Andrew's knows too well about his marketability, and would hate risking someone else picking him up and capitalizing on it. With all of Kennedy's endeavors, he probably has a manager negotiating his contracts to prevent from such a thing happening.

Although TK is kinda whatever, his lifestyle hammers are as grossly underrated as Ronnie Creager's skating:

Money, fast cars, made it possible for Lizard King to troll BET, fucked Rev Run's daughter, best intro clip in almost every video he's been in, almost knocked some dude out on his "day in the life", gives random white people a motivational speech at the end of Bake and Destroy, the nigga raps for Christ sakes lol.

hell yea, TKs actually pretty good...... I was hating on bake n destroy but his baker has a deathwish part is sick, and he recently crooked that rail in long beach for that supra add...... pretty fucked.

TK is one of the funniest and most interesting skater out there.

yeah. shane i kinda understand why hes off but the other 3 make no sense to me. reynolds cant just cave and find a way to pay them less to keep em on the team? will they finally put reno on the team?

why is this so hard for everyone to wrap their heads around? all of those dudes had a great run as pros. lenoce had 10+ years. shane had his time to shine, but hes right when he said that thing about doing noseslides and crooks for the rest of his life. nobody can argue that spanky hasnt been on his way out since baker 3. he came from winning tampa am in 03 and being one of the hottest young dudes in skating to putting out lazy parts. if you dont agree, thats fine, but its true. hes not what he used to be, and he never hit a point of greatness that would validate keeping him pro now. braydon is the only guy i really feel sort of bad for because he seems like hes still ripping just as hard, but at the same time he was always out shinned by multiple people on the team. he was never a stand out guy, and with a team of 8 pros not including the guys who got cut, it doesnt make sense to keep any more dudes who are going to be "filler" pros. all of these guys are good skaters, but theyve all had their run. baker might be a "family" but its also a business. andrew has to pay all his riders and still be able to pay himself. im sure of they were all rolling in dough over their, nobody would be getting cut, but that doesnt sound like the situation over at baker boys. and when you have dudes like riley hawk and cyril jackson coming up who rightfully deserve a spot, youve got to make some cuts if youre going to give the new guys a chance to shine. and ive got no way to prove it, but id be willing to bet riley and cj alone probably could move more decks than spanky, jeff, braydon, and heyl combined. its mostly young kids who buy baker boards, whos boards do you think theyre going to buy? its business.

Baker is also the kind of company that appeals to skaters interested in stunt/progressive skating.
Having an aging pack of skaters not motivated to put footage out regularly isn't going to work.
I have a feeling they will have to rebuild the team every few years based on that fact.

Wouldn't really ever search for any of these guys parts.

Not really surprised they got dropped.

They could drop TK too,  never really got his hype.

Infant,  why don't they just call the whole thing off.

I thought Spanky had multiple knee injuries/surgeries, which makes it difficult to skate huge spots. Either way they might as well start their own board co. it hot right now.

Braydon is a professional party animal, thats why he got dropped from Emerica, or Kirchart hates him idk

unlike most companies baker kinda lives off its family/hijinx vibe as much as it does the skating and if you kick those 3 off it messes with that a little bit. everybody on the company doesnt have to be the best because baker isnt that type of company. you got some amazing skaters and then you get a bunch of crazy stuff thrown in the video and it keeps it interesting. same with the web clips. its not like they were getting paid boatloads. thats baker. braydon was the ben sanchez of baker and that was just fine.

maybe im wrong and baker 4 will be amazing but i feel like they did add something to the team.

I love how Dustin's favorite skater is Daewon.

And was Mike White ever on Baker? Riley and Cyril will definitely be the next pros. As much as I am not into the new generation Baker kids, I would say they are better then the ones that got kicked off.

Its crazy that nobody realizes this but its the truth whether they care if their favorite pros are getting kicked off or not face it CJ and Riley alone can put out more footage than all of them combined in less time and kids would eat it up.

The truth is, that most of the kids have never even heard of any of those four dudes that were kicked of. They haven't really done much to keep their name relevant among the kids.

yeah pretty much, Lenoce is good and had some sick footage since way back when, but i mean come one most of times his tricks stay around the same perimeter being a guaranteed switch heel, nollie 180's and inward heels. I normally would get hyped anything time he did a trick that didn't revolve around those. Spanky's situation is unfortunate but its happened before. Back in the This is skateboarding days Spanky was more famous and was looked forwarded to becoming something big more than Herman at the time. I can still remember that and it wasn't until his knee surgery that his skating seems to have less control when before he was so fluid. Braydon on the other hand was always pretty under the shadows of Spanky and Herman until baker 3 came out and killed it. Since then it looks like he hit the drugs a little too hard and just looks so out of it but his skating is still there and has gotten more tech. And Shane was just always there as a homie to the group and was given a chance to be what i thought from the beginning to be a temporary pro board since he started making a name for himself with shake junt. Once again these dudes ripped back in the early to mid 2000's and its hard to believe their run is up but that's life. They had a good run and put out some sick parts but its a new era and the new kids are coming in.
