I personally like this shape a lot and Spitfire isn’t consistent with a lot of their marginal shapes so I’ll put them in my freezer until I need them.

Updated the haul:

8.25" Baker (OG shape/concave) - wanted a Spanky, ended up with a Hawk...
Pepper grip (super grippy feeling, perforated and very flexible/not stiff)
52mm OG Fireball Conical F4s
Globe Dover/Austyn (very roomy, need thick sock/not skating them but chillers)

What do you guys do with all those wheels, seriously? I have bought my wheels two years ago and they're still good, lost probably 5 mm on them but otherwise they're still fine. 4 of those sets would probably last me 10 years. I don't even know if I will still live in 10 years or if the world will still exist :-)

We horde them away..../skate them until they lose their desired shape.

Got the Lucien Clarke Doom logo ventures. First time riding the standard ventures. Really enjoying them and the stock bushings. Pop feel is nicer for me than my v hollows don’t know why.

Ironically also bought the new doom game on sale this week too. Guess I’m just into doom lately

adidas superstar 80s i got over half off

heres the difference between the adv and the 80s pair
adv:

80s:

adv have internal cushioning under the insole
insoles are super thin and unsupportive
80s are harder under the insole
insoles have more cushioning in forefoot and heel
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

They do look good!

Any boards still in shrink will keep indefinitely.

Just the usual board care, no direct sunlight, no extremes hot or cold, left flat graphic down / grip side up in boxes up to ten or so all the same concave has served me well over the many years I have had boards in storage.

Others might have different ways of keeping them though.

Bought some Indy Standards yesterday. Aside from a brief Ace Classics trial, this is the first time I've tried a different truck in like ten years.

Only cruised the parking lot and skated flat for a few minutes but right out of the gate they turn really well. Actually had to tighten them a smidge which is generally the opposite problem I have with new trucks. Gonna see once and for all if I should "fuck the rest".

Normally we hate each other it seems, but have identical truck experiences and preferences. I put cast inverted plates on my ti hangers and am enjoying them. Minus the fucking kingpin coming loose on it’s own.

I dunno. Might just be wanderlust, honestly. Sometimes with rougher spots I feel like I could benefit from a truck with a little more meat on it but we'll see how that goes. The praise gets a little hard to ignore so I just wanna see for myself.

I bolted my mid plates to my ti hangers and generally prefer the pop feel, really everything over lower variants maybe even versus the Mids. I might try those again but right now don’t see an advantage. I’m 6 foot 3 and liked Thunders on smaller decks, but don’t skate as fast and confidently on those setups because there just isn’t enough space.
