Crail’s 7.875 shape is incredibly underrated too.

That shape on the older wood was too nice.

I vaguely recall Gino’s board being 7.9ish, or maybe him saying he skated 7.9s? Which seems unlikely he’d mention it, doesn’t seem the type to divulge. But yeah, anyways, in my mind the 7.9 shape was the Gino shape. Had a few, loved them.
Bought one of the new 7.875s a few years back, but my guy was trying to get sparked to skate so I passed him the board, and I know he hasn’t skated it. Ha.

With the mysyery box running again, I feel the madness coming back strong.  They have so many shapes I want to try.  Thinking of picking 8.375 and 8.5 - they have a pretty wide selection of 8.5 shapes.  I think I'd be curious to try any one they send.

Has anyone ridden the G016?  Any feedback on the tail on that?

That the 8.3? I think I have one just laying around gripped and I felt like maybe the tail felt a little short standing on it. It was a wall hanger that I for a second wanted to skate and never did. Would have to look at it when I get home

Anybody have experience with the G018 vs G045, the two 8 x 31.5 shapes?  Just wondering if there are any differences in the steepness of the kicks, or if the only differences are the lengths of the nose and tail.

To be honest this is the only shape above 8.25 i avoid at all cost Crailtap wise. the 7" nose and small 6.3" tail makes it feel very one sided weight wise and doing any trips with your board backwards makes it feel lopsided. I believe the G033 or other 8.38 size is a little better as far as more even noses and tails and weight. Personally if I could balloon the G027 up to an 8.75" id never ride another deck in my life.

They don’t make the G018 anymore.

Ive had two of the GO16’s back to back (still riding the Chocolate one) and i like them, Although the tail is small and ive got uk10.5/11 feet so it can feel cramped as can the general overall length. I have Thunders on it so the extended wb tend to weigh the tail and nose out alright. Double edged sword for me as i like being able to chuck it around easier under my feet but as mentioned before above, fakie tricks etc seem a bit unbalanced. Feel i almost have to scoop the tail toward my front foot a bit more to get it levelled out. I have a Death deck on ice for the next one because of the longer tail but i’d quite happily ride the G016’s again, they last ages, keep pop and feel nice and light

I wish they made an 8" g052 or g027, 6.5 tails seem short now.

Just got my two 8.5 decks from the crailtap random selection and i must say the g039 shape looks amazing to skate. I got that and the g053. Ive skated the g033 a whole bunch of times and love the short wheel base but this g039 is short and almost has a football shape type of tail on it. Hyped to skate both here soon

GO27 vs gO52 ?

Does it really make a difference?

Venture v hollows btw and want to try a new 8.25 deck.
AWS was good, but forward flips didn’t work as good as with other decks, guess because of the length. It’s not that much difference; but still

If you want a little bit of a longer/steeper Nose go with the G052. The shapes are identical except for the Nose.

I've been skating the G027 for 3 years straight and like the shape a lot. I've been itching to try the G052 to see if it helps with switch flips a little more.

Craig is really one incompetent dude. Recently picked up this G056 which is the Brophy 8.6 shape, and it's got a big "8.5" sticker on the tail, even though all the other info on the sticker is correct. Laser etching on the top ply states the correct size at 8.6

Does anyone know if this shape has been discontinued or which one it is?  This dude from the skatepark had some decks for sale and I really liked this shape and wanted to get a few more.  It’s an 8.25 Koston with 7in tail 6.8 nose with mellow concave  I don’t know if this shape was custom for just his boards I don’t as hoping they still make this shape for other riders. Anyone know which one this is?

I personally love the G052. Recently switched to ace lows and I think the wheelbase for me might be too short. Got a g052 sealed just in case I decide to give it a shot.

Gutted they don't make the old Koston 8.25x31.625 shape anymore. Nice short full nose tapering down to a mellow pointy-ish tail

The new shapes have too steep kicks for my liking

That shape was pretty sick. Wasn’t it like 8.125x14x31.3? Something like that? I remember it being stubby. Was a perfect step up from smaller boards, being a wider, but otherwise, small board. I was a fan. Last one I had was an MJ, with 147s

Crail’s 7.875 shape is incredibly underrated too.

The G021. I just grabbed 2 of them with the box of chocolates Vday sale for $80 shipped with grip. I just set it up yesterday with my thunder 147s and hoping to skate tomorrow. I already like it much more than the full wide nose on my 8” Habitat. I would have gone 8” but wanted the shorter length of 31.25 so went 7.875”.

Are the G069 Crob and Malto shapes the same? My friends claims Crob's are more twin tail, Malto's are more twin nose.

Same shape, just different graphics, it’s a variation of the G052 shape. Only difference in twin shapes between the G069 and G096 is 8.25” to 8.5”

G057 8.5 x 31.95 x 14.5 WB by Carlisle Aikens.
Tail feels steep and somewhat long and Nose is full/round but slightly shorter. Paired w/ Venture 5.8’s but makes the wheelbase feel like a regular 14.25/14.38.

How did this board work out for you?  Curious about this shape and how it pairs with Ventures.

Yes they do! I still have a Marc Johnson G028 in the shrink wrap. I am tempted to skate it but I wouldn't be able to get another. It is the only 8.18 shape I have ever liked.

Just ordered the two girls decks mystery box.  Requested the G039 and G057.  Pretty stoked to try both.
