I am skating the very similar g053, cast thunders. I am quite short. The pop, from the tail, is fantastic (haven’t had my best nollie stuff on this setup). Anyways, overall, super impressed with the dimensions/shape. I came for the Carl board, the shop had this instead, and I can see myself sticking with it long term. The wb is .5”‘longer than what I thought my preference was. My experience is that it just works.
As an aside: Carl, Kader, Griffin, all seem to be skating 8.5s, with 14.5 wb, and have great flip tricks. They could probably do so with a 2x4, but are choosing to skate these wider longer boards

I am no physics expert, but in my experience a deck with a longer wb (14.5) has more momentum when it spins sideways. Shuvs and always felt great with a longer wb.

But yeah Carl, Kader and Griffin can probably tre flip a longboard too ^^

Ah, my rotational shit is fried on these big (to me) setups.
It’s kinda wild to me that some of the most tech people seem to skate some really big equipment. Dilo would be another, but he looks tall as shit so it’s not as odd as say Kader and Griffin who don’t look that tall.

The teams rn, aren’t doing too bad imo. Still a fair amount of old guy bloat (those of teams and the next 10 years, were some of my favorite, if not the, skateboarding of all times…but I mean. Having Carroll, the god, still with multiple pro shoes, c’mon boys).

Anybody skate the 8.5 twin shape from crail? Never skated a twin shape but not opposed to it. I like the 8.5 with a 14 wb. I’d throw venture 5.8 standards on it

Dailan Huahong is actually Ali Baba’s woodshop. I’m pretty sure you can order the blank decks from the Ali Baba B2B for like $3-9 each wholesale. I’m not sure how the shapes are, I’d think they were the same.

I’ve seen a blue Vincent Alvarez deck that was PS Stix in a local shop while traveling a year and a half ago.

Set up a Crail board for the first time in almost 2 decades, Skidul shape. First board with tapered rails, wasn't sure what trucks to put on and 149s are the answer. Skated it twice, loving it. No problems with tail/noseslides unlike somebody mentioned.
