Was there anything between Ethan Fowler and Heath? I thought there was mention of it on the Heath 'Skate Talk' that was taken down.

Heath talked shit about Jordan Hoffart in one of his interviews for 360 flipping his gap.

"Im kind of talking in circles, but mainly I hated the amateurs coming after me. I had this one kid that went to like three of my spots and completely took me apart at themhe backlipped El Toro, he switch grinded this hubba that I regular grinded. Nutty, nutty sh-t, and I was like, this guy is after me. And there was another kid that I was really harsh about, he rode for Adio or something."
http://skateboarding.transworld.net/features/10-skaters-who-changed-the-decade-heath-kirchart/#VihvaBmpGIEYzysS.99

that was about carlos ruiz. he sw larried heath's hubba and back lipped el toro when previously only heath had fs lipped it and jeremy klein had drove a van down the stairs.
i don't know if he ever had beef w/ ethan fowler but once in those end of the mag interview they asked like 'josh heath, josh beagle or heath kirchart' and his answer was 'heathan. or are we over that?' i read it as sarcastic of the other 'man in black' of skating. prolly they both were strongly influenced by 'the princes bride' growing up.

I agree about the switch grind since that was absolutely Heath's spot, but at the time of the back lip on El Toro plenty of stuff had been done down El Toro - Mumford had smith grinded it, Ben Gilley had 5-0'd it, and Arto had front boarded it so I never really looked at it as a direct one up to Heath. More just the natural progression of the spot.

you're prolly correct. i was under the impression nothing else had been done down it. basically heath's insecurity got the best of him just like bam's brother sang it would so long ago. bs lip is for sure one upping fs lip if ya were to do the math. if you weren't doing math, just skating then who cares? obviously heath does and he got that little feller blackballed from the industry or maybe the kid wrecked himself? either is likely but i think heath complained to management.

Leo Romero called Alex Olson a faggot on twitter.

Kalis seems mad at anyone who doesn't think of late 90s-Philly as the pinnacle of skateboarding.

I'm sure the Supreme kids have beef with someone.

Slash seems convinced that Allie cut the rail, but he also seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't have landed the trick if the rail was still there and sees the whole situation as an excellent cop out.

Anyone remember Nick Trapasso calling Darkstar lame in a 2008 interview, only for Chet Thomas to call him "Trapass-a-homo" in an interview?

Trapasso is a fucking kook! dude is known for not giving approval for people to ride the sponsors he rides for. I never understood why he had so much say to do stuff like this, its been said plenty of times that the guy is one of the laziest pros ever.
Didn't he have a similar altercation with Jack Curtin?

Is it just me or is Jaime Thomas at the center of 99% of these?

Remember when he threatened baker w/ legal action because they were going use a clip of him skating a schoolyard naked. Oh yeah and that whole Trevor Colden/skate mental fiasco.

I wonder if he also talked shit about how the butcher skated it before him? Jk, Heath can say whatever he wants and it's fine.

If I remember correctly Jayme Fortune had some beef with Rattray? Actually it may have been a photographer, I'm not sure anybody could ever have legitimate beef with Rattray. But there was a published photo of Rattray bs noseblunting (I think?) a Bmx jump/dirt quarterpipe, supposedly with full knowledge that Jayme had done it first.

Not str8 sk8r pro on pro per se, but man I always loved that clip of drunk Rowley going the fuck off on Phelps at the SOTY party. Also heard that Shex was having some beef with Maverick (Beefin w/ Maverick? I dunno, that sounds like a Tesla song or something, whatever) at Woodward PA in like '07. At the same time it was in fact 2007, rumors like that were rampant.

Coco Santiago vs. Bam? There's gotta be some great Coco stories regardless.

Didn't Jon Dickson and Stee Ortee have some sort of falling out?

I would LOVE to hear more about Lenny Rivas pulling a gun on Antwuan...

Pretty sure there is a thread about it, but a couple years ago when Trapasso's shoe was getting released all the cons/nike reps, shops, industry dudes where on this bus going to the party and Trapasso was drunk as fuck yelling out the N bomb and being really fucking annoying and he got escorted off the bus or something, maybe got roughed up a little bit by some reps... anyhow it pissed everyone on that bus really fucking bad. So there is a LOT of beef on Trapasso from that event. Reading this thread dude sounds like an idiot.

i don't think he was going to sue, i think jamie said he was 17 or something so it was illegal and they could get in trouble for it, and the part of the video where they were going to show it was blacked out and it said "since skateboarding is so serious this part of the video is blacked out." he also stated there are copies of baker 2g with the footage still on it out there.  but if he really did threaten them then thats kinda lame, but it is him skating a school naked and he said he benihana'ed over a fence so that's a pretty gnarly thing to have out there.

Jayme Fortune had beef with Raymond Molinar because Raymond had that clip of him doing half cab frontside noseslide kickflip at the same spot Jayme did... Only Jayme did it sans kickflip.
The one I know Heath had beef with was Jason Jones, of skating to Radiohead's 'Karma Police' fame. Heard this stemmed from Jason Jones board sliding that rail Heath tried lipsliding in the Sight Unseen credits. Supposedly Heath drunk called him and threatened to break his legs if he 'skated any of his spots' in his 'yellow Adio shirt again'.
Markovich somehow had beef with everyone he started a company with.

I thought it was the opposite, Jayme was not really sponsored at this point and had already done the harder trick(with the flip) at the spot that Raymond had a habitat pro ad for.

Can someone verify?

I hear that.  I love Kalis, Stevie, Getz, all those dudes, but I'm sick of hearing about why the Philly scene was "the best era in skateboarding."

This! that whole old Philly scene is filled with some of the most jock mentality skaters that exist right now. Its the fucking worst. Just let that shit go, kids these days are ripping it better than y'all ever dreamed of.

That's funny, I had totally forgot about Greg Carrol standing in front of that rail, while Jamie and others were trying to skate it.  I was right there when Muska nose blunt went wrong.  One of the worst slams I have every seen in person.

why was mike's looser older brother cockblocking the cyclops rail? bully.
way i heard it, mike v took issue w/ joey cereal and some other mexican skaters smoking weed in proximity to kids so he responded w/ some responsible white vigilantism, ultimately kicking paulo diaz in the chest and calling him 'scarecrow' as he fell down.

1994 Radlands contest some of top American guys where giving shit to Tom Penny, I remember Rowley in the interview saying these were the top US guys and they were just making fun of Penny but then a year later they all wanted to claim they were down with him. Who knows if Penny even noticed though.
[close]
I don't remember exactly where I read it but I recall the guys were Girl dudes and they were actually spitting at Penny or spitting where he was skating, maybe they were clowning him for being a hometown hero or whatever they thought he was some local park kook trying to show everyone up.
Probably some English bloke said all this I forget but it's in some interview in some mag or maybe it was Rowley on some Epicly Later'd shit, something like that.
That's funny. I remember hearing the Girl camp was clowning on Mccrank at the early Slam City Jam contests.
