Skate dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree?

Haven't had some in a while but last week I woke up and could vividly remember having a really nice emerald pair of half cabs. I wore them and then remember the soles wore through until my feet were coming through almost instantly... Fucking Vans.

I also get the one where you do a kickflip in your sleep (physically too) bail and wake up...

Any good ones?

I just had one last night but it wasn't that interesting. I was doing ollie fingerflips in front of my old girlfriend to try to impress her. 

I used to have skate dreams regularly during the years I took a break. Usually big backside airs and long boardslides on vert.

I had a dream I was skating in a mall with Ishod Wair. He had shake junt griptape. I had one last week where I was trying frontside bigspins off of a launch and was floating really slow 10 feet in the air and clearing about 30 feet in distance. I didn't land any though. I would catch it perfectly and then kick it away right before I landed..

In my dreams I frequently seem to do big backside 180s down stuff. I can't do them at all in real life.

It's very specific in the dreams because I casually spot my landing over my right shoulder (I'm regular foot), something I don't think even works in real life.

I can hold manuals in my dreams for a really long time. I appreciate my subconscious doing this because a manual is something I can actually do in real life, even if for only a few inches, so it feels like my brain isn't fucking with me too bad, showing me what it would feel like to do things I'll never be able to do like throw myself down rails or skate the mega ramp.

Skating shows up in my dreams quite a lot, actually.

^Usually my skate dreams consist of things I could imagine myself doing, but other times my dreams totally fuck with me and I'll do things I'll never do and it feels so natural.  I can skate big tranny super easy in my dreams and it is so frustrating how in real life it scares me.

On a nicer note I've had dreams about doing tricks that I had never done and then went and landed them.  That feels pretty epic.

The weirdest recurring dreams I have though is that I am skating but without a board, just like the Yeah Right invisible board montage.  Those are bizarre.  The worst though is I have had nightmares I was riding a scooter or blades.  Scary.

Had a dream once that i learned Fs bluntslides to fakie on curbs and it felt so damn real. Like I could swear I figured out the secret to them in the dream. Then I woke up and tried them the next day exactly how I did them in my dream and I didn't get anywhere close. I couldn't get it to slide right.

Quite often I will have a skate dream where I will be casually ripping than all of a sudden my board turns into some weird object. It has turned into a pillow, a flat piece of cardboard, a 2x4, and even a small Pat Duffy. (not legendary pro but the leg of south parks scuzzlebutt).... Also I have skate dreams where i am barely hovering over my board and cant seem to hit the ground for a solid push to gain any speed. However if i pump tranny it works and my airs are in slowmotion! Those are the best because i can tweak the hell out of any grab and if my board gets loose i have enough time to grab it back and throw it under my feet. Ahhhh , only in my dreams

I had a dream I caballerialed the local 8 stair when I was like 14 and had only been skating a few months. Still never did that one.

I was enjoying that still half asleep haze one morning when I had one of those real vivid dreams. I was floating perfect backside 180s, twice as high as I could normally pop my ollies.

I remembered it later that day and tried a few at the schoolyard. They were perfect! Just like I dreamt!

So I took some high fives, figured I they had been magically bestowed upon me or something, and moved on to something else.
When I tried again a few days later I just couldn't get em the same, and they've never felt that good since.

Often in my dreams I'll be holding a manual for what seems like minutes and I'll think, "Wow I'm stoked I've finally got this completely locked down." I'm guessing that since everything is so relaxed, my style is better in dreamland, too. In real life I skate like a person who has knees that don't bend.

Perfect vert run dream, happen fairly often. I'm skating a nice vert ramp and I'm doing anything I want. Usually its just basic airs, lipslides, tail slides and so on. Sometimes, I think of a trick on the flatbottom, something I've never done before and just do it. And I think to myself why didn't I learn lein airs years ago? They're so easy... sometimes I land leaning way too far back or low down the tranny but recovering speed and balance is easy... and I think, I should skate vert more often, I'm pretty good... then I wake up and slowly accept I'll probably never do a lein air...

the other reoccurring skate dream is a similar concept but a its flowing downtown hill bomb. just blazing through the streets doing any trick I want.

Never had a dream where I skated well, most of the time I can't even stand up to balance on the board. Before I looked at this thread, I just thought skating was just one of those mentally complex activities you can't do in dreams, kinda like how its really hard to read in a dream.

I tried to make a messing around skate video with my friend this year and so far we pretty much abandoned the idea. But, last night I had a dream and I was at a party talking to some random people. They asked to see my footy and all I had was a 360 powerslide. Really bummed out now.

I always have dreams where I'm doing really tech ledge tricks or backside airs in big bowls. One time two years ago I had a dream where I was waiting on the side of a bowl with Grosso and (I forget the other person but it might've been Navs or something) and some asshole filled the bowl with water mid-session and I woke up very pissed off I couldn't skate with Gross and co.
