idk if this is the right thread, but how durable are the 440's? I'm thinking of getting a pair but I'm kinda worried about the mesh upper since I do a lot of heelflips. I also have wider feet, should I half size up?
Love the 440. The mesh is rather tough and kind of has a rubber feel to it. Very durable shoe even though I have had 5 pairs! I saw some new ones online that looked like the mesh was replaced with canvas? Also looking forward to trying the 508 as I thought the 288's had the best sole I have ever skated. My wardrobe is now full of NB#!!
They laughed when I told my friends that I was going to be a comedian.....well they are not laughing now!

I’m partial to 978.  Gonz spends time there

Gonz hangs in Lowell ish? interesting

Hah no he has a place in Marblehead.   I used to live in Gloucester so I have an affinity for the North Shore and for high school pregnancy pacts

978..617..it's all good  :) I didn't know Gonz has a place in Marblehead, I always wondered why he skated Peebuddy

yo, that's what's up!!!

I really dig it out that way. Spent a lot of time hanging out in Salem. I remember a big ass record shop in Gloucester where I was able to get killer albums very cheap.

Is there a method to the way they come up with the model number for their shoes?
Vulcs fo.gp up to 399, then cupsoles. Higher the number the more tech they have (cushioning, quality of rubber, etc.)

If the D3 was released by NB it’d have a 5 digit number

DAMMIT I've been checking this thread and my local websites DAILY waiting for those wheat 1010's to drop, then today caved and bought something else. Hopefully I'm cashed up again when they finally reach NZ, I've gotta have these

Maybe @rothdigga can shed light on when they'll show up in NZ? I've got my local's website constantly open on my phone as I wait for these in the states, too.

i have no clue if i will like the fit of these or not but i am going to cop regardless when possible, those white ones are so fresh. i would love some input on the fit of the 440 highs compared to the 440 low.

I’ve posted several times detailing the fit. If you wanna check my post history.

God damn those white 440 Hi's look so good. I am surprised at how much I like the look of the 440 as it is definitely not my normal style. Thank goodness for those slap edition 440s or I wouldve missed out on such a sick shoe.
Every time the McRib comes out I buy it. I don't even like the damn things.

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

@rothdigga when are those 3 previously mentioned upcoming vegan models gonna be announced?

One is hitting in March and we should have a new 420 coming soon as well but the March one is the soonest vegan one for us.

For me, it's more that there aren't many high top cupsoles on the market right now, so it's filling a void. I also recently bought a pair of the Vans Crockett highs (thanks to sale gear thread/nordstrom rack), but there's not a ton of other options out there.

I agree they have that classic 70s look. another cool aspect is they look like a cupsole Blazer mid. Definitely considering those white/green 440hi's
