I found an excellent deal on an old pair of 254's from back when NB was still calling them the 'Quincy'. They were new with the original box but I don't know what year they were released, I think they are at least four years old. Anybody got any ideas when these dropped? I went a half size up and they fit perfect, the old orange foam insoles feel really good and I love the look of the upper on these shoes. They look sick with khaki pants and the I'm feelin the slight color pop of the maroon/aubergine color of the trim and the laces. They were only $25 bucks with cheap shipping so these are probably the best deal I've ever got on a new-with-box pair of skate shoes. I love eBay

I've just seen some in "estate blue" in a blog from 2014. Time for bed.

Probably 2013-2014, but be warned if they are still called "quincy" they are the Black Box produced ones before they changed factories/brought shit in house and are probably not great

120€
That’s definitely inflated. They would offer -15% for newsletter subscribers so it’s almost down to 1010 prices then…

it was 130 on the danish site linked, and 140 on the swedish site. It's gone now, but I could still see it when I searched.

I've been skating 288s this past year and am thinking about ordering a pair of 913's, anyone have recommendations for sizing? I've been skating a 10 in the 288s, should I go with that for the 913's as well?

913s are TTS the last I heard and tried on (never owned), but I'm not sure if you're TTS in the 288s. Nearly all of NB# shoes, I go half up, except the 913, 212, and 213, so that's my take.

If 10 is your normal size, I'd recommend going with that for the 913.

Question to anyone in the know:

Rumours in recent/upcoming suggest that Tiago is getting a new shoe in 2022- does that mean that NB are going to stop making the 1010 around then?

1010 should be around for a good while longer, I wouldn't worry about those things going away.

I wear tts in the tiagos, I’ve heard people get heel lift so they size down but I don’t have that problem

I’ve skated multiple pairs of the Tiago’s and had a pair of the 913s that I really liked. They’re a little slimmer than the 1010s but the sole is still pretty supportive. They were like the perfect shoe to me until the Tiago’s came out. I’d get more 913s if they dropped that maroon colorway again

1010s run 0.5 small for me. I'm an 11 and went up to an 11.5.

Pretty much all NB# runs small anyways. Not sure how people are sizing down in the 1010s. They're a snug, yet comfortable fit in your correct size, though

@Damoforce what are some other shoes you've had? Maybe that will help your assessment. If you have a similar size up or TTS like I do with the below examples, then I suggest an 11.5, but hopefully you can try them on in a store somewhere soon.

I'm 11
- Vans (classics, PRO, skate classics)
- Nike SB cup and vulcs
- Adidas: most of em
- Emerica: Reynolds G6, Dickson, Wino G6, Spanky G6, Pillar
- NB#: 913

I'm 11.5
- Es: Evant, Silo SC, Quattro
- Emerica: Figgy Dose, Alcove CC, Gamma
- Etnies: Marana, Joslin, Joslin 2, Veer
- NB#: 1010, 533v2, 440, 440H, 288, 255, 379

im a 7us in every new balance but the 1010, 212, and 213.
i have to drop to 6.5 and punch them out abit otherwise my heel slips out of the 1010.

I'm usually a 10, have three pairs of 1010 in size 10, and one in 9.5
My brown 1010 fit fine width-wise in my true size but i get heel lift. They're the only pair of size 10 that were great to skate in, but i only skated them for one session because they're beautiful and i want them to last forever.

The white leather gum and og black suede 10's were good new but now they're broken in, they are too big to skate. My latest white suede and gum 9.5's feel snug, i had to really stretch them out to be comfy, yet i still get heel lift. I'll probably skate them once they stop looking so fresh.

I'm thinking Tiago must have slim feet and fat ankles.

That's interesting! I get almost no heel lift/slip in the 1010 @pointandclick . I had 11 and sold to a friend before the  two 11.5's that I have. Both 11 and 11.5 fit relatively the same in the heel. So you drop down 0.5 a size on the 1010 like the 212/213?

However, I do notice that if I don't lace to the top eyelet there's a possibility of the shoe coming off, but that's 99% of all low top shoes that I've ever worn. I don't like shoes loose, but I don't like them snug either. If I'm skating a pair, laced to the top. Maybe I have fatter ankles like @TracersOnlyfans is alleging Tiafo has lmao!

@Damoforce we might have made this more confusing (sorry  ;D), but in short, try to find a shop to try on an 11 and then a 10.5 or an 11.5 if the 11 doesn't work. At least now you should have an idea of what the fit might be like.

The 1010 looks to be the closest thing we've had to a "Janoski" in a long time.  It's a beautiful shoe!!

I have loathed the janoski ever since the first pair i saw but i get your meaning, and agree. I've heard a few friends call them "the new dunk" and i think that's a fair analogy. Great silhouette and panelling to drop new colours on, I'm always gagging to see what colours are coming out next, even if they don't really fit me properly. I just love them as a chiller shoe.

I'm on my fifth pair this year. I burn through the sole moderately fast but I keep buying them because they're that good. Never break laces and they need minimal shoe goo. Fit is unmatched for my duck-paddle-ass feet.

I will never own a pair,  just because they don't suit me .  They are a beautiful shoe though.   There isn't an ugly colourway.
