I didn’t get the hype about 1010s but bought two pairs on sale because I liked the way they look [and those Tiago videos]. The comfort/padding/fit is perfect. Truly 10/10 and I can’t stop buying more pairs. My bank account hates me but my feet love me.

Edit:
I can’t wait for the Tom Knox model. Does anyone have more info?
[close]

Tom Knox is getting a 1010 colorway? thats cool. Love those shoes, but they dont love my feet.
[close]
Nah, he’s getting a model similar to the 288. The 1010s turned me into a NB# fanboy, and Tom Knox is one of my current favorite pros.
I'm putting my chips on a reimagined 868 (hopefully without the Peeble magnet Factor)
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

From what I remember, they are similar to the 868. Like an 868/440. Pretty sure I was lookin at the Knox.

The Tom Knox shoe is super sick. Really stoked to get a pair when they come out.

Like Rothdigga said, it's more like the 288 than any of the other shoes in the line. But not super close.

Does the Knox 440's have the same insole? I literally get heelbruise on flat with 440s...

Same napkin

Same looking sole but a completely new sole. I've been told thicker than the 288, not as thick as the 1010.

Everything about that 808 is freaking sick.
Usually I'll stop skating my shoes after 1 month because they feel floppy or flick deteriorated beyond my acceptance.
I skated 808 for 3 months in which I walked in them A LOT (normal conditions, rain, snow, you name it). ZERO issues besides that I got "bored" of the same look in my feel for that long. I'm giving them a rest since sure they have easily 1 more month of life in them.
Wonder if 1010 are that durable.

NB's cupsoles would be so perfect if the toe caps were more tapered
[close]
I’m not sure your terminology reflects what you’re trying to convey.

You're right - I didn't mean to say toe cap. The front of the sole is more squared off than popular cup soles from other brands. I feel like this compromises flick precision. No one else notices that?

I think I may have come to the end of my long love life with the 440 and its sole. I have maybe less then 10 sessions on a new pair and the sole is already wearing down in the ball of my foot like it does on every pair, but this pair seems to be wearing down super fast. I dont understand how the 440 seems to be the highest(?) staple in their line but they wont do fuck all about the sole.

I’ve noticed the exact same thing after my session on sunday. Its almost like the sole is more “chalky” feeling. Kind of annoying as the rest of the shoe is still in good condition.

I don't work for NB and I've never had a pair of 440s, but even I know everyone in this thread who has had them complains about the sole wearing quickly. I'm still looking forward to the vegan-friendly 440s so I can try it out for myself tho!

I either flick the hell out of tricks or don't push very hard. The 2 pairs of 440's I've skated wore through the toe cap and side panel before the sole was toast

The 212 is one of the only shoes I have to size down in.  I wear a 11.5 and get 11's in the 212's.

I know some go TTS on the 272 and some size down, it's an in between it seems as I know it's a longer, narrow last.

I totally get and have seen those comments but most of them seemed to just have super longer lasting uppers and then the person wears out the sole unit before the upper mostly.  We put a lot of durability in our upper so that makes a lot of sense to me, it's not always going to be even on that.  I really wanted to make sure there wasn't a full blown manufacturing issue with them that we needed to address.
Vegan ones coming in July/Aug!  Hopefully you can snag some.  440's and 272's in that batch.

As I stated several times before I'm madly.in love with 808 and can't wait to try my 1010 but 440 looks and flick are so damn good. I wish they had a better stock insole.
I'll use my white Knox 440 highs for walking style bonus.

Is there still going to be a 420 colorway around 7/10? Also, is the vegan 440 a Ryan Lay colorway or just a team model?

There is a 420 coming out this year sometime, most likely around that 7/10 date again as it's been hard to hit April 20 for production lately.
The Vegan ones are just team colorways and not tied to a rider.

Has anyone skated those 574 courts? I stumbled upon them on Zappos and they have them labeled under the numeric line but it appears to be incorrect because nothing about the shoe seems to be advertised for skateboarding. I couldn't really find any info on them or any other place that sells them.

@rothdigga, or anyone who has had multiple pairs, what is your opinion on 808 sizing? I got a pair .5 up, because TTS wasn’t available, and they fit perfectly with thin socks. Do they expand .5 size after breaking in, or should I be okay with wearing thicker (DLX or HUF) socks at that point?

I like those white/blue 808s and am tempted to buy a pair because I want to get something from the local shop, where I’m on vacation, before heading home tomorrow. Not feeling the shop tees and they don’t have Ace 33s.

have not skated mine yet but structure wise i would think they don't bag out too much.....wich i hope turns out to be true since TTS is too tight and .5 up seems pretty perfect for me!

anybody with actual skating time in these can chime in maybe?

to the pal with the question about the 574 all courts- labeld wrong, they are not # Line, but there was a Westgate colorway once if i remember correctly

For me 808 TTS are perfect but the shoe is so fucking great that even 0.5+ still works.

Had my first session with 1010s today, after having walked with them for like 5km with very thick wool socks. They were too tight at first, but has started to stretch out nicly, and now fit like a glove.
Usually wear size 10, and do in my 440s, but I got heel-lift with a size 10 in Tiagos, and shoes easly stretch out 5mm, so I thought a size 9.5 would do the job! Nothing to complain about with the shoe so far! So nice to not have to worry about my feet
