I usually cut them off when I skate 440s. Comes right off with a seam ripper

First time doing it on some 1010s just now. The white leather/dark green accent ones:



Took the tongue tag off while I was at it. I like how you can still see the N lightly through the stitch holes but its a lot more subtle.

Glad you guys are stoked, but I think without the branding, especially the white ones, look like some Walmart dad shoe knockoffs.

All smartass remarks aside, I love the 1010 (wearing a pair currently), and whatever gets you stoked to wear them I fully back, but that look isn’t it for me. Honestly all of the white leather ones, branding or not, have been a tough sell to me. It probably just hits too close to home being close to 40 (38) and a father of four.

I personally thought that removing the Ns made them look less dad-ish. They look like normal sneakers to me at that point

Just wanted to share that 440 highs with the 808 insole, as an extra, feel really good if you had 0.5 bigger than your usual.

What model are they? And what's the story?

NB868 is the model. The story: Bronze 56k logo and the NB logo together looked a lot like the windows logo so legal department said nope can’t sell after the shoes were produced. Glad they didn’t burn them and held them to do something positive with them.

Regarding the 808s, can anyone draw a comparison between the full length midsole foam and Emerica "pour in" g6? I had the Spankys with the pour in, and I was really not a fan of what it did to the boardfeel. I love cupsoles, but I need a certain amount of flimsiness.

The 808 is the furthest thing from flimsy that you could look at. You want the 440.

The 808 is the furthest thing from flimsy that you could look at. You want the 440.

I've skated both the Spanky G6s and the 440s and this is good advice. Don't go for the 880s or 1010s if you thought the Spankys were too thick.
