look narrow in the toes unfortunately
[close]
Midfoot felt a little snug, but toes had plenty of room
[close]

Midfoot snug like the 440/272/574, where if you have wide flat feet your arch spills way over the side?  Or snug like the 1010/808/306 where the sole is wide-ish, but the arch is really stiff and high, leaving your midfoot feeling choked out?
[close]

We get it, NB don't fit you well. Just move on rather than continuing to bitch and moan. I hate the way Nike and Cons fit but am not up in those threads constantly complaining about it.

skateboarder4life, it’s gotta suck to be in your situation, but are you not the person with some unique large/wide feet? the only shoes that have worked for you were the splay shoe yeah? my feet are really jacked, and i just went on a trip ( walking no skating), and all i can think about is wider shoes. my feet measure out to e, but ee frequently do not feel wide enough. sorry to make it about me here for a sec, but i’m trying to say i hear ya on the foot pain.
maybe ive missed it but what is your particular beef with nb? that they have had ‘wide’ shoes in their non skate line in the past?
am i getting this wrong? aren’t you the person whose whole-ass foot covered the 1010? what i am getting at here is you are going to need to find a unique solution to this fairly unique problem. i’m not aware of ANY shoe that would ‘work’ for you, am i incorrect?

Quote

I mean, not particularly. I'm honestly not even sure they're slightly wider than average more so just that I don't like having my toes squeezed and have generally avoided wearing shoes that would deform my feet. Like if nobody had feet and toes that had been deformed from being stuffed in shoes that aren't shaped like feet I honestly think my feet might be slightly narrower than average. But yeah as things are now i guess my feet are slightly wider than average

I don't have any particular beef with them except they seem to make very nice shoes in every way except failing at the basic function of being shaped like a foot

That's correct. Not a hard feat tho imo

I've tried almost every skate shoe and you're correct about that. I don't have any problem finding non skate shoes that fit but unfortunately most skate shoes are made exceptionally narrow.  I wouldn't say this is a unique problem either. I'd say 95% of skaters are wearing shoes that squeeze their toes together and don't allow them to splay out as they naturally would and should. Most skaters probably have toes and feet that have been deformed from what is essentially chronic foot binding practices through their footwear

anyone got a line on the tan 933 in 11.5? Not seeing it available anywhere, and sold out on the NB site.

Not sure if this size got delayed potentially - seeing stores got the black/olive in 11.5, but almost seems like the 11.5 in tan didn't come through (most sites just skip 11 to 12).
[close]

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with this. If anyone tracks down a brown 11.5, please let us know. Doesn't seem like they exist.
[close]

This won’t be too helpful, but I have seen the 11.5 crossed out as “sold out” in many stores’ websites.   So that could mean they have had it

I'm hearing now that there was another New Balance factory mishap with sizes 11.5 through 14 (or larger?) in the launch colorway of the 933 (camel/brown). I pre-ordered a size 11.5 so my shop just sent me a refund. What a massive letdown.

First the Rolandx808, and now the 933?

Picked up my camel 933’s from the shop today. Only wore them for a minute to make sure they fit but damn, they feel like a Cadillac on my feet. Very stiff but should break in nicely with some walking around. Now to try justifying buying the gray day release color way.

I believe a month after the grey days.

I don’t think 5/25 is the hard and fast date for the GDs either.   Ads for it said it was starting I believe 5/28 and I think it’s a roll out with the 933s expected at the beginning of June (based off what we were told about the release dates months ago)

Finally got my pair of 933s and they fit amazingly.

Full foot/heel grip feels on par with the 600s.
1010s hit me at the heel right around where it feels too low, but I’ve never had slippage issues outside the Poets.   Just a personal preference for a higher back that 933 and 600s have.   Maybe it’s on account of the indentation for your Achilles.

Anyway, def recommend true to size.   Foot slid in and felt perfectly nestled pre/lacing

People may balk at the price, but you def see it reflected in the materials used and quality of the shoe.   It’s not like a $100 Gazelle where you wonder what makes it triple digits

Absolutely agree with this. The 933 is a step above a similarly priced SB dunk IMO so the price is completely justified.
I picked up a pair on launch day and wore them to work and around the house before skating them. Was definitely an adjustment from the Janoskis I've been skating the last couple of weeks (w/Move Pro insole) but in 20 minutes I was digging them. So comfortable and very Cadilac-like as already mentioned here. Cushion is on point: supportive but forgiving at the same time and no aftermarket insoles needed. Stoked to skate them again.

I had this issue with the 480s, it's like the laces are too small for the shoes. Swapped the stock laces for some Dunk Low ones cause they're longer. Helped get rid of some heel slippage.

The included laces make it hard to fully lace the shoes without choking them out. They should probably be longer.

Idk, maybe this is just with larger sizes? Or my foot could sit really high. Not sure 🤷🏾‍♂️

Since I can think, I always have that problem with the laces that are too short. Maybe our feet are just shaped that way, I don't know. But I would still swap laces for some others that don't rip as easily and my girlfriend is happy about some new laces.

when this happens, sometimes i mess around with those different ways to lace a shoe. i use the ‘heel slip’ technique pretty often

Got the 933 in tan, length seems true to size but for me they are slightly narrow. My right foot is just marginally bigger than my left and they were squeezing the front of my right foot.

Been wearing the 508 which is the perfect width for my feet, if that helps.

The 933 insole is crazy, never seen one like that on a NB shoe. In an effort to reduce the narrowness slightly I switched the insoles out with 508 insoles which are the typical ortholite foam ones and now the 933s feel even better. There is so much cushion in the shoe itself that the insole doesn't really need to be super absorbing.

haven't skated them yet but definitely enjoying breaking them in so far.

933 lace length is perfect to me, but I always stop one short of fully laced, so I can see why some folks think they’re a little short.

Been wearing mine around the house all morning to break them in. Fit is TTS. I messed up and missed out on my normal size at the local and settled for a half a size down. Fits a little snug in the toe box but once they break in it will be all good. I am going to lace them a bit looser because overall they are snug on my feet and I don’t intend to skate these so I want to be able to slip them on and off without untying them. My only actual complaint is they are rubbing on my Achilles some but I’m wearing very low cut socks so easy fix. Looking down at them is cool. It’s a good looking shoe and feels like it’s worth the price point. Definitely plan on getting the greys when they come out.

I mean yeah it's a bummer if that's the case, but it's just a shoe at the end of the day. If I don't get this color, it's not the end of the world. Plus Roth is always very gracious with his answers and helping out Pals in this thread, and I'm sure he'd also be bummed if they had issues with the factory, so no need to get agro here. I'm hoping it's just a shipping issue, but if not, I'm sure there will be another color I'm stoked on in the future.

I’m a 13 like you @OhioGuy and laces are perfect. One eyelet down. Love the cream laces to match the midsole and N outline.

You laced those black sb laces wrong too. Look goofy not going across bottom eyelets

I also overlaced my pair like I saw in promo pics.

933 runs hella small. Tried a pair on today, half size up, and they were oppressive. I’m thinking a full size up should be ok.

Well, I bought a pair of the camel colorway to be told a week later that the sizing (13) won't be available.

@rothdigga is size 13 not available at all in the US?

I was yearning and the information below totally harshed my mellow.

From the email I got:

"I’m reaching out with some disappointing news regarding your recent order for the New Balance Numeric Reynolds 933 MNOs. Unfortunately, New Balance Numeric has just informed us that there is a widespread shortage of the larger sizes (11.5 through 13), and they will not be fulfilling these sizes at all for this release. This shortage has affected all shops in the area—not just ours—and we only received the smaller sizes in our shipment."

Never forget:

933 runs hella small. Tried a pair on today, half size up, and they were oppressive. I’m thinking a full size up should be ok.

Interesting. I'm a 9.5 and I wear a 9.5 in Half Cabs, Dunks, 440 wides. The 933 in a 9.5 fits perfectly. My feet are on the wide side but not very tall.
How much for an order of ribs?
