look narrow in the toes unfortunately
Midfoot felt a little snug, but toes had plenty of room
Midfoot snug like the 440/272/574, where if you have wide flat feet your arch spills way over the side? Or snug like the 1010/808/306 where the sole is wide-ish, but the arch is really stiff and high, leaving your midfoot feeling choked out?
We get it, NB don't fit you well. Just move on rather than continuing to bitch and moan. I hate the way Nike and Cons fit but am not up in those threads constantly complaining about it.
a fucking men.
skateboarder4life, it’s gotta suck to be in your situation, but are you not the person with some unique large/wide feet? the only shoes that have worked for you were the splay shoe yeah? my feet are really jacked, and i just went on a trip ( walking no skating), and all i can think about is wider shoes. my feet measure out to e, but ee frequently do not feel wide enough. sorry to make it about me here for a sec, but i’m trying to say i hear ya on the foot pain.
maybe ive missed it but what is your particular beef with nb? that they have had ‘wide’ shoes in their non skate line in the past?
am i getting this wrong? aren’t you the person whose whole-ass foot covered the 1010? what i am getting at here is you are going to need to find a unique solution to this fairly unique problem. i’m not aware of ANY shoe that would ‘work’ for you, am i incorrect?

I mean, not particularly. I'm honestly not even sure they're slightly wider than average more so just that I don't like having my toes squeezed and have generally avoided wearing shoes that would deform my feet. Like if nobody had feet and toes that had been deformed from being stuffed in shoes that aren't shaped like feet I honestly think my feet might be slightly narrower than average. But yeah as things are now i guess my feet are slightly wider than average

sorry to hear that for you as well

I don't have any particular beef with them except they seem to make very nice shoes in every way except failing at the basic function of being shaped like a foot

That's correct. Not a hard feat tho imo

I've tried almost every skate shoe and you're correct about that. I don't have any problem finding non skate shoes that fit but unfortunately most skate shoes are made exceptionally narrow. I wouldn't say this is a unique problem either. I'd say 95% of skaters are wearing shoes that squeeze their toes together and don't allow them to splay out as they naturally would and should. Most skaters probably have toes and feet that have been deformed from what is essentially chronic foot binding practices through their footwear
