For those who used to love ck1 nikes

The nb bb100

These were terrible to skate in, if they do reissue these in the numeric department, hopefully it’ll have some good insoles

Curious, would every one here get these shoes if it didn't have the N logo on the side? I get that's their thing but I have always like the shoes despite the logo, not because of it. Would be nice to have a premium cupsole that's on the minimal side in terms of design. Yes, I know I can take it off but that's not my point. If Last resort can take design language in terms of panels from NB with their cup, I would like to see the opposite, a feature full cupsole that looks minimal.

If the N really is non negotiable, I would like to see them do more big N's like the 808 or 440 v2, where the edges of the N almost reaches other panels and look more like extra panels rather than a logo. Asics does well with incorporating the logo into the shoe as a whole.

I probably wouldn't buy without the logo, as its usually a design feature I like on cupsoles.  On vulc shoes I prefer less going on so the logo being gone wouldn't bother me . Does it make sense, no but thats just me.

The 933 is basically what Reynolds always wanted in his Emerica shoes but the company is too shitty to deliver.
[close]

The last Reynolds G6 was seriously good though

I know people wanna hate but that g6 foam was truly the last good thing emerica and soletech at large had going for them. The only other shoe I’ve been wearing lately outside of nb is the wino cups and it’s the only other shoe I can wear all day and push around in without as much fatigue.

I still don't know how I feel about the NB logo in general even though I've had a few pairs of their runners and now a handful of the numerics but I would definitely still buy the 933 sans logo. Most comfortable shoes of any type I've worn in a long time and once I got them broken in they skate like elevated Dunks in my opinion.

would it kill them to use a numeric specific logo?
i get brand recognition but still…it can be done

Throw a number sign on there in place of the "N"

They do the same as Nike SB.   Put it on the tags, but don’t junk up the logo on the side of the shoe.

808 had some great colorways that made the N logo more subtle.

600 are so light and comfortable

Big contrast to the 933. Which are super comfortable too. More protective.

Have to disagree. One is a check mark and the other is literally a letter in the alphabet. Great feeling shoes but wearing them I feel like a cartoon character drawn to help kids remember what comes after “M” and before “O”

Edit: I originally wrote “before P.” Looks like I need the numeric cartoon lesson after all

this thread made me want to try the 1010 so bad that I bought the primitive ones. I ended up hating the lime green accents, and took the N's off

I think most shoe companies (not all) will avoid quieting down their shoes. They want these things to be sniffed from a mile aweh

Would you say Last Resort does it well? Not gonna lie Danny Brady posted a clip the other day and I personally couldnt tell if one of the guys was riding vans or last resorts

edit:

The caption is what threw me off. Vans is tagged but he mentions new shoes. Are they new vans shoes? did they make a switch?

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJWzrxIBz3U/?hl=en

edit edit:

I wish they would do the stitched/perforated n on the side like they do with some of their runners and the numeric 22(?).

While I don’t think it’s the best logo in the world, far from it… it’s ubiquitous enough at this point that I don’t notice it too much

Took the N off a pair of tiagos a while back and it looked wayyyyy worse imo

I'll take the regular N over the fully stretched out one on the 440v2.

Is that Grey the same as the Grey Day?   Looks lighter and I’ve seen a lighter grey model in some of these vids (a more traditional NB grey) but I can’t tell what’s coming to pass and what’s not.   I’ve been pleasantly surprised we’ve seen so many colorways already

Yes, that’s Grey Day. No other grey 933s currently.

Those white and gum jawns definitely have my name on them... Any ideas on when they may come out?

would be cool
if the tech “advancements” made on the 933
trickled down to the other numeric cupsoles

A little early to tell for sure but has potential to be my Goldilocks shoe.

Yeah I just recently found out they had wide models but I can’t find any videos or extra info on the wides online.
If my local had the Reynolds wide I would def go try them on to see what they feel like. Might order some eventually any how.
