I've skated 508s and 272 from NB. I got a pair of 306 (Jamie Foys) from a sale last spring. Same size as the others before (10.5) and they're way smaller. About half a size in length. Pretty bummed about it :(

Vegan bros (US ones)- We had some "missing" stock of the vegan NM440VBS that I finally unlocked and are available now.  Shops who carry that should have it soon.  I know Escapist will get some and Kinetic for sure, so for those looking, we should start seeing those again at stores.  Remember when I told those looking that I re-stocked them?  I really did!  They just sat on hold in our backend inventory and I didn't have visibility on them.

While we’re at I’m going to jump in and say the 600 is pretty much all I wear now, even outside of skating.

They’re just so well balanced: Great boardfeel and grip, but also great cushioning and support. They’re slim in the right places, but also chunky in the right places. They feel like they have some tech, but also feel simple and clean. They’re kind of look like a skate shoe, but also pass as a normal trainer I can wear to work.

They’re also the only shoe I’ve had in years (except for last resorts) where the upper needed no DIY for the whole life of the shoe, and I got 55 sessions out of them which is one session more than I get out of Dunks.

I love the design of the 600 but I had a pair of the black leather from 1.5 years ago and the sole was slicker than dunks. Not grippy at all. The 440s and 480s that I have had were grippy. Perhaps the 600s that I had were not normal?

Weird, Dunks feel way slippier to me, it’s the main reason I hate skating in them. Maybe they’ve updated the rubber because the 3 pairs I have are all newer than that and the grip is pretty much on par with a vulc.

For anyone that has skated both. What's the difference between 1010 and Reynolds?

I love 1010s they are perfect shoe for me. But interested in maybe giving Reynolds a go.

The sole looks stiff on them.

I skated two pairs of 1010, and have the grey 933 and the front sole is getting pretty thin on the 933 now. Mostly I'd say the heel in the 933 has less board feel. I would not consider myself a person overly worried about board feel but it took some getting used to.  Front I thought board feel was similiar.

I think the sole on the Reynolds has lasted longer than the 1010, but it's possible my foot work improved so less shifting around.

Both stable in the heel, similar arch.

My heel flips destroy my top laces, both shoes were really bad for it, the 933 at least once the stitching is gone you can lift up the eyelet piece and do a gilly stlye lace thing with it.

Reynolds were incredibly hot to wear for awhile, not sure if the mess toe had a coating that wears off or something but it was concerning for a week or two.

That primo plate shank thing definetly makes it stiffer than the 1010

I walk on wet floors at work, the 1010 when new are an absolute nightmare for a few days, no issues with the 933.

(but can you please talk to your design team about other possible vegan cupsole options for those of us who can't wear the 440?)

933s much stiffer and take much longer to break in, but hold their structure throughout the life of the shoe. 1010 do that fairly well too but will start to pack out and get a little bit floppy compared to the 933s.

Less boardfeel in the 933s, but once they eventually break in they're pretty nice.

I dislike the insole on the 933 (no arch, not a fan of the PU when the shoe already has a dense midsole). The ortholite in the Tiago is better imo and makes you feel more connected to the board, but some people prefer the 933 insole

I think the toe shape of the 933 toe is better for flicking.

933 seems to have a bit more grip on the sole and the tread is also deeper. 1010 panels seem to not blow out as much and look better throughout the life of the shoe but both are very durable, maybe the 933 more so overall due to the sole.

Yo @kaskelotti I was searching for size info about the 306 as I might wanna try a pair. Currently skating Vans Half Cabs 'cause I wanted to try a vulc shoe and got them real cheap. I pretty much hate them (heavy and clunky), and though I might be just out on a limb here, I kinda wanna try an NB vulc.

I'm a 10 in NB cups, so should I get a 10.5 for the 306 or do they stretch out?

Indoor season oncoming here in Sweden, the only thing good about the Half Cabs is that they are warm and I bet they will be sweaty as f--- indoors.

Thanks @tzhangdox and @Amocat

Hmm I might just stick with 1010 in that case. 30e cheaper as not a whole lot to entice me there.

The Slap NB shoe better have the most inscrutable fit known to the market.    Have zero comparison to any other shoe fit wise
I'm normally an 11 but in these SLAP 440's I'm a 7.5!  This would be amazing.  Only put tongue straps on 1 shoe just to mix things up too.

What about the SLAP 440 roth? Does the office appreciate the prolificness of the NB thread?

What does a FL or Long Beach colorway look like?   Considering Dexter used Long Beach to play Miami, I imagine not too different

First thing I thought of for Florida was black with teal and silver accents, like the old Florida Marlins hat that Reynolds wears a lot.

I tried a while back and it got lost in the shuffle during covid craziness I think.  Let me try to resurrect this beast.

Just a brief appreciation message for everyone who chimed in about 933 sizing. I went with my usual and they fit amazing. Great feeling shoe for me and looking forward to skating them after they break in a bit more. I don't want to wear anything else after putting these on!

Any opinions on the 288? Or 288SMC? Whatever it is. I like the 440 and 508 a lot but never see the 288 really. Are they good? How about the midsole?

288 are old af by now, that's why I haven't seen it then.
Same sole as 508.
Loved then back in the day
