More grey day angles are up on New Balance's site:

933
1010
770

It's not olive or grey. It's friggin brown/tan.

I guess it’s like that blue dress meme - everyone will see different colors, but the colorway seems consistent with NB Grey Day shoes.   I think it’ll look a million times better irl - studio lights are just draining them
This is why I've come to withhold judgment for NB cws until I see them in person. A new drop that looks absolute buns in photos -- I think a lot of them do, including the Grey Days -- I see in the wild and they're legit. NB plays the FAFO card a lot with random ass panel coloring and underwhelming color schemes overall but they've got the shoe silhouettes to do the heavy lifting and pull it off. Doesn't always work but respect nonetheless.

Still I find it hard to be hyped based solely on the official photo releases. Could be a result of designers running the gamut of the color wheel over the years with a huge product line and it's hard to create new stuff that hits like it used to.

Last slide: I think they look great and the colorway is in line with past grey day releases (non numeric)

On another post they said it was only for Roland artists

They're available in black, which I almost pulled the trigger on myself (ended up with another pair of 1010s instead)

Most people know about those ones.

If anyone is 6.5, there’s a 7.0 pair on Poshmark:
https://posh.mk/LUhDSTz8G2b

Fingers crossed that it gets released to the public in August as the next Roland collab. I thought I hated orange shoes but I really like these.

Edit: Some people got them at DJ Jazzy Jeff’s Playlist Retreat. It’s a shame these are a Roland exclusive, but I hope it doesn’t prevent NB from doing a similar colorway for the next collab.
[close]

I may have to cop these, I'm probably one of the only people on here that could actually fit into these...

Unrelated, but should I half size up on the 933s?
[close]
Never owned a pair, but every 933 I've tried on I needed a half size up. Maybe they break in and become looser but I'll leave that to those who've skated pairs to say.

I'm a 9 in every other NB shoe and most other brands, except the 1010 which is the only shoe to never fit me correctly. I need a 9 1/4 in them; 9s too narrow and tight, 9.5 too roomy and I have tried different lacing patterns. Other exception is the Tyshawn 1s, also need 9.5.
[close]
You shouldn't. I had 4 933 in a row and all TTS. The only not TTS numeric shoe for me was the OG 808.

I've got PTSD from the OG 808s, going TTS online when they came out...

Obviously that didn't work out for me...

I'm going to try TTS on 'em, those white/gum Emerica jawns are too nostalgic...

The toe somehow looks better in this 933 cw.
Less chunky.

Just saw the all white 306c (second run of colorways) and that is a good looking shoe.   Tan one too

I need to find this!

I love all white skate shoes...and I hate all white skate shoes...LOL

I need another NB to get into the break-in que. Currently skating NB 306C, breaking in the Adi Tekkira Cup, need to get another pair of 306C or maybe try the 480s

It’s not all white - there’s some color accents but compared to the first white/white/black cw it’s all white

Per sneaker news:

Grey days
5/20 - 1010
5/28 - 770, 993

All look immensely better in an appropriately sized photo (at the bottom).  1010 has a good top down look

I just came back from my second session with the 306 Cup. They are hands down my new favorite skate shoe! I've been through many NB models and these feel like a best-of, of sorts, combining features of some of my favorites. Notably the wider toebox of the 272 (not quite as wide though), the heel cup/lock/feel of the 933 and the general feel of the 440 V2 (but with a better/denser insole). Plus the "satin" tongue straps are by far the best of any NB I've tried (I usually cut them out because they're uncomfortable with my left gout foot). And how the front part of the sole is quite flexible, but the back/heel area still feel super supportive. The fit is great and I've had zero heel slip. All in all, a total winner. Thanks a lot NB folks <3

I asked this before and don’t think anyone ever answered but how is the 770?

The cutaways on Weartested make it look like it has a similar midsole stack as the 933 but it may be lacking the softer foam pod in the heel. Curious as to how it compares with the 933 (which I think isn’t quite as cushioned as its design suggests)?

Comments say the sizing might be a little different too?

The foam they use feels softer underfoot and it’s a lot more flexible. Fits quite a bit wider than a 933. They’re good for general wear but the midsoles a bit too soft for consistent skate wear got me

Sadly, I do NOT have pairs going up there.  I originally had them on order for Canada but it didn't go through, so only down here in the States.

Just wondering if anybody else had bad luck with recent 933.
My 2 first pairs were amazing (camel and then grey cw).
The 2 recent ones were quite disappointing. Black ones lasted very little and suede flick felt subpar regarding the previous pairs and green ones lasted even less and pinched my right Achilles tendon in a way that now I can't even wear them anymore.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

The suede on the black gum 933 was a slap in the face compared to the launch colorways and grey days

I wore through my green pair in a few weeks. My flick spot wore through the toe to where my socks started poking through, despite many lathers of gorilla glue. Such a disappointment as the rest of the shoe has plenty of life left.

Anyone skate the grey/black/blue Jansport looking cw yet? I have been wearing/breaking mine in as I try to finish skating these 1010s, but if the suede rips in the toe box easily from kickflips, I'd rather skate the OG camel pair I have instead.

that rip ruins the look down factor of that shoe for me

Very stoked on the Krooked 600s, quality is great. The little details are perfect! Would get another pair, but they seem to be sold out at most places. The local didn't order them for whatever dumb reason.

I dunno something about the 933 fit overall is way too snug or constricting, just not a casual crossover shoe whatsoever. I just wear my pair less and less often as an everyday shoe.

For sure the best quality and fitting were from the camel and grey ones.
Luckily I have 2 🐪 on ice but after having 2 disappointments (black/gum and green) now I'm trying some Japan Pros and they feel pretty nice even tho the flick in their rubber is different from what I'm used to

Old man here but I wear my 933s every day to work (desk job) and just to walk around. Even use them on the treadmill or walking a few miles while my kids are at soccer practice and got rid of my running shoes because these just work better for me and I don't need to use an aftermarket insole. I've had a few pairs now since launch, all in my normal dunk size, and I'm wearing the MUSHROOM with STILL WATER colorway now. At nearly 50 and having had lots of foot injuries over the years (Lisfranc fracture, numerous broken toes, plantar fasciitis) the 933 has become my go-to everything shoe. Do what you like with that info. Hope you can find your own goldilocks, too.

Have you tried any shoes other than skate shoes?
Based on the 6 reviews above yours they don't seem like great every day shoes.
I've wanted to buy them but tried them on and they were not comfortable and didn't feel like a good skate shoe.
If you spent $130 on a running shoe, I think you would have your mind blown.

For real.

I started wearing true running shoes whenever I wasn’t skating around when I turned 30. At first I was overly worried I looked like a dorky Seinfeld type but now I wish I had done it sooner. Don’t cheap out either. The “super foams” they use now in the medium to upper priced models are well worth it. Cushion, rebound, and longevity that once you wear for a while will make you not want to touch anything else.

Every company has some version of it now. Your knees will thank you.

Appreciate the tips, gents, but I’ve tried them all. 990v4/5/6 and the stiffness isn’t there for me. I’ve run multiple half-marathons so I’ve had lots of running shoe experience and I much prefer the 933 as an everyday shoe. Last running I did I was using one of the $200 NB cushioned models (not the foam models because they don’t offer much arch support and flatten out too quickly for me) and it was fine but wouldn’t wear it around outside of running. I've trained in the pricey Brooks, too, and I wouldn't wear them outside of actually running. I do wear dress boots and shoes when I have in-person meetings and they're on the more expensive side, but I much prefer a casual look whenever possible.
My knees are good as far as that goes; I've lifted weights regularly for years, so I have that taken care of. Again, appreciate the advice/feedback but I’m good! Just wanted to put in my general support/thoughts on the 933.

Anyone else feel like the flick on the 480 isn't that... accurate? I feel like my flip tricks are better with e.g. the 440 or the 660.
