You were lucky to pick up one of those Shor deck, they sold out so quickly even locally!
I ended up getting one of Kento’s scratchie graphic in 8.625 but I had to HUNT!
Don't know if it'll help you since I think you're located in Japan but, for the USA boys, there's still some on parade.

Finally back with a 9+ , Krooked Dan's Rig 9,25 x 31,8 with 14,75 wheelbase.

It feels so good to be back!!

anyone know how wide the Anti Hero Beach Bum is across the back truck?

Tom just posted this @tom in the setup thread, so maybe easier to repost here and you can ask him...

Looks like it goes from 9.55 at the widest down to about 9 at the back trucks but he would know.

Another addition to my setup collection

Beach Bum Eagle
ACE 55’s with a single Indy soft bushing in the top of my front truck
56 97a F4 classics with Bones Swiss I took off another setup

I’ve been skating for 23 years and hope to be able to skate for at least another 23 more. I’ve never done a layback grind in my life but this board feels perfect for learning them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here’s the top view if anyone was interested and wondered what the cut looked like

Scram Cinex(9”) 53/99 Classic f4 Spits, Indy 159 forged hollows, and the Dewbaca staring at me on Mob.
Beautiful setup and grip job, what's the wheelbase on that scram?

Cruiser setup, using the donovan rice, second cruiser with this deck, love the feel of it. Indy standard 169, bones hard, powell snakes 66mm, bronson g3. Played around with some paint, rustoleum bed liner and used a rag to texture it, got a cool feel, and will be interesting as it gets dirty and scraped from riding.

Also side note if anyone rode the creature stumps, just ordered 2 of the 9" online and they're selling out as quick as they drop. I keep going back to it for my trick deck, so I'm gonna keep it simple and just ride it exclusively for a bit.

any link to the creature stumps?
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

These are the 2, I could find in stock. Some other shops were selling out as soon as I got home to try and order. There may be more on the way for the usa, they dropped in europe a week ago. Socal skateshop said nhs didnt even give them the 9". Figured I'd get 2 now just in case.

back in the 9+ club, treated myself to an early birthday present. got some inspiration from all the great setups i see up in here. first time trying grip like this, pretty pleased with how it came out i guess

welcome no strange delight on golem- 9.25 x 32.6, 14.8 wb
ace af1 66, stock (probably gonna leave it this way)
swiss 6, just cleaned + lubed
F4 54mm 97a conical full
jessup

haven't got too much time in on it yet, but from what i have gotten its been a blast. i really like these wheels, they seem like really good atv-type wheels for me. af1s felt pretty good off the bat, tightened back truck 1/4 turn and they feel like souped-up classics now. deck is longer than im used to, especially coming from hockey, but its rad. heading to park test it out on friday.

Thanks. It’s 14.5 wb. They stopped making them but 35th Ave had a shop deck(9” shovel) that’s the same. Unfortunately I haven’t seen them in stock since COVID hit.  Your Donovan is rad as well.

@Mbrimson88  just saw this thread for the first time. It’s about 9 1/8th just before the truck. Width across the back truck would depend on where you measure it/where your particular hanger sits

I skate a “small” board, so venturing into the 9” territory isn’t something I’m known for. I skate an 8” board with 52’s. It was time to add some extra spice into my skate life

Reshaped my Black Label  10.0. It felt like skating a door. Tried a "phawtesque" physique. OG had the adjustable WB 15.5/16. Tail was 7" and steep...nose was shorter and mellow. Flipped it around and redrilled "rear" truck holes (was nose). Plugged the remaining 8 mounting holes with dowel and wood glue. Was a rain day project.

OK, I’ve been working on this one for a while. Got an uncut blank with a 14 inch wheelbase, and wanted to make a fat twin

31.5 x 9.45
6.5 nose and tail
Ace Classic 66s
Indy Shock Pads
Freshly lubed Bronsons
Bones SPF 56mm

Like with a Tibetan sand mandala, the moment it’s finished (which may take years), the monk is supposed to sweep it away.
The graphics here are a bunch of fascist-lite/totalitarian leaders whose faces I wanted to wipe away.

I didn’t, it came that way. I’m not sure where it was pressed, but is was pretty sloppy, all the layers were all different widths. Maybe made with scraps. The 2nd and 6th layers weren’t quite wide enough, so i had to fill one of the sides with epoxy.

I could have just cut it slimmer, but i wanted it wide enough to accommodate the Aces.

Got this New Deal Templeton Reissue - Resin 7
10.125 x 31.9
Wheelbase 14.5
Indy 169s with a cracked pivot cup
Spitfire 56mm 97a Classics
Welcome / Professor Schmitt 'Candy Bar' Rails

Been after the Candy Bars for years, stoked to get a few sets.    Couldnt decide what colour to put on, so went classic.  Man, these things slide...  It's like they're full of wax.  Amazing. They're basically Schmitt Stix Type II Rails, which were my favorite back in the day.

The board feels amazing, super crisp and the shape rules.  Really similar to my Tired board I retired.  I always wanted a New Deal back in the day, but they were too hard to get in suburban Australia.

Awesome board. Had this as a kid as it was my second ever board so had to get the reissue. Just a question about truck sizes . The board being narrow at the back and wide at the front does this make the 169 Indy stick out? In the picture it doesn’t look like it ? But I’m not sure. Is there also a thunder truck at that width ? My original set up had thunders. Any insight would help. Cheers
They laughed when I told my friends that I was going to be a comedian.....well they are not laughing now!

Was this the question or the only line from your post?

I think it would sit a long way inside and I would not be at all keen to skate it, but some people love that magic carpet ride to the extreme, so if you already have the parts, you could give it a try and see.

The two I had seen set up had much wider trucks and worked well for the two guys skating them, but everyone is different.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Ha yeah, I have 139s with Mini cubic wheels on a 9.5 deck and they fit nicely, so wheel shape and size, width in particular, make a huge difference to the overall size of the ride.

Putting mini cubic wheels on any normal size truck / deck combo makes them stick out a mile and is not a whole lot of fun, definitely works way better on the setup I have them on.

Another wheel that would work well are the bigger Slimeballs with the extra width, which I have set up on another board too.

Nice! Glad to hear it! I would love to see that, please put it up here or in the art section when it’s finished!

Here’s a list. It was a bit hard to get the likeness right. First off, because I haven’t drawn recently and I’m totally out of practice. But also I wanted to remove all facial hair, and sometimes that really changes the way someone looks (like Modi with his beard). But for some reason I left Mugabe’s bizarre little Hitler ‘stache on.

From the top going in clockwise fascism fashion, Shinzo Abe (Japan), Narendra Modi (India), Xi Jinping (China), Jair Bolsonaro (Brazil), Kim-Jong-Un (N. Korea), Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe), Benjamin Netanyahu (Israel), some fucking New York douche, and General Min Aung Hlaing, the military leader of Myanmar.

Just put together a Xmas complete. Dane1, ace 55s Swiss bearings and some 53 f4s that I’ll most likely swap out with some 56s. Still don’t know how to post the pic. Can’t wait to fuck this thing up over the weekend.
