Polar Dane 1
9.75" (WIDEST POINT) X 31.375"
NOSE: 6.25"
WHEEL BASE: 14.125"
TAIL: 6.625"
-
Indy 169's (78a Indy bushings shaved down to fit)
56mm Spitfire OG Classics
Bronson RAW
Rib Bones

So sick. I have the same deck +169 std. How's your wheelbite with the 169 and no risers + 56mm, considering your weight and truck tightness? The OG Classics have been on my list.
[close]

I'm 6'1" and weigh 165 and somehow I rarely get wheelbite on very loose trucks. After 27 years of skating I've been through every bushing set up there is and after finally feel comfortable on 78a's.  I'm 39 years old so I'm not jumping down stairs or anything, mainly slappies, manual pads and mini ramp. I'd suggest getting risers for anyone else though.
yeah I have them on my 169s with the Dane 1 and 54mm wheels. But i'm heavier. still so surfy

Thanks! I've been staring at it for hours. I almost don't want to skate it and ruin it's beauty.

The red rails on the blue graphic just looks so good.
That’s a nice rug too!

fatty swap out.
I tried, but just can't hang with a 15" wheelbase. Lesson learned. Also the tail was huge on the Lance. And I'm not really a fan of a super fished out rear. I did like the nose though. Hopefully I can pawn it off to someone.
Put this Gonz on. 14.38 WB.
Downsized from a 60 F4 classic to a 56. And ditched the risers.
So far I'm very much liking the change.

[close]

Been skating the Gonz for the last few weeks. Super fun for curbs and other low impact street stuff but I can't flip it for shit. I have 151s on it but about to try it with 55s. It is going to be relegated to cruiser status soon as I haven't landed a good kick flip in 2020 yet...

Anyway, what trucks you rolling with on that?

No more Theeve, Firebert? Those Ace’s are identical to what Grosso posted recently. Very nice set up dude.

Ok...small report on the Lance mountain Black label set up...took it to the skate park, skated the 4 foot mini ramp, felt really nice. I went to the bowl to drop in...looked down into it...and didn't! I feel like I'm too old to care about being able to drop in to that bowl...its just not worth it.

Anyway, went back to the mini ramp...then just decided to do some flat ground, and even flat ground which i thought would be really hard was actually really fucking good too. The dimensions and the nose etc was awesome. Its the best big board I've skated for a long time!

Originally i had this as my designated cruiser with some Spitfire 80HD Charger Conical 58mm & Sunday Screamer bearings and i loved to cruise up to the shops and back on it etc. But i just loved the shape and big trucks so much i have made it my main board for now with a few little changes.

Anti Hero Green Giant shaped 9.56*32.98 WB 15.25
Indy 215s
Bones hard bushings
Spitfire 56mm 99a Conical Fulls
Sunday 6 Balls
1 rail on my toe side (from the local can't even remember the brand, First time rail user)
Mini logo grip
Random risers and allen hardware I had laying around

The Slime Balls are amazing imo - 97a and super fast - good for asphalt and smooth parks as well, can still powerslide just fine on both. I just switched from 1/8" to 1/4" for a deeper turn. I like these ACEs for this 80s theme cruiser - I got my custom Theeves on my normal street cruiser.

97a is so good on all terrain. powerslides can be done on any wheels...i remember in the 80's we use to ride big soft wheels, and still managed to powerslide on roads...you just have to adjust how you transfer weight back to get the right amount of push...flat spots sucked though

your grip jobs are too notch. Like em.
Need ridden 1/4” ride w 60mm wheels. Pro/cons in your opinion? Those classics look worn down tho/wider rising surface

Thank you man

Yeah I can’t recommend it enough

It’s different but it’s great... it obviously takes some of the tech out but you can skate anything with these huge wheels and loose turny trucks

Ollie’s are hefty once you get used to popping them too

The wheels I got on here are only worn down like 2 mm or something but you can tell

Also the 60mm classics have a different shape and are more conical compared to the other sizes

Yeah wider riding surface on the 60s which is why I ride them instead of 58

Thanks brother, this is my second one of this shape

Super rigid construction, hand screened graphics

Takes a minute to get used to the wheelbase but after you do that skating it is such a joy and the concave and kicks are perfectly mellow

It’s basically a less exaggerated and longer dane shape

Prime blank. 9 wide, think it was their UFO mold.
Indy 149 stage 5
1/4 Risers
65mm Kryptonics
Jehu bearings.

Wanted to test the waters of big shapes and tried this Prime. It’s cool. There’s no over hang like the photo suggests, the wheels were handed down from Pops back in the day. Those Kryptos are real...when you get going they cook.

Love these AH eagle in here. Got me wanting to pick one up.

You have your trucks pretty tight. Do they even turn?

What Duro are the kryptos?
I used to have the 60mm 91a and never had a slower wheel.

The prime blank looks nice though

They do looked pretty cranked huh? Yep they actually turn. I don’t really sweat the kingpin, this board purely is for getting around.

86A on those Kryptonics.

I’d definitely grab another Prime in the future. Highly recommend. So Cal had plenty of shapes to pick from.
