TBH I am thinking of skating shaped boards more often...
Just got this
https://www.tactics.com/welcome/sanchez-peep-this-875-nibiru-2-shape-skateboard-deck/sage

8.75' wide
15' wb
6.625 Tail (Is that pretty wide?)

I couldn't decide between a few decks so I had my friend pick, and this is what she chose. It's too brilliant and honestly I kinda wanted to wallhang it after seeing it in person.

Heroin Golden Egg 9.125"x32" with 14.5" WB
Ace 66
Spitfire 58mm 99a Classics
1/4" risers
MOB
Bones Swiss

I skated it for like an hour and I'm thinking about removing the risers or putting 1/8" risers on, and switching to my F4 54mm tablets

It's an addiction. Did I need another setup? Of course not.
But I can't help myself. Love me some BBB (Big Beautiful Boards).

I'm still tinkering with it. Think I want to add a 1/8 riser. Its got 56 classic full F4s now. Might change it out to some 58 Conical fulls or 60 Classics.
Welcome to the fatty family.

old bump, but what trucks are you running on that curb crusher? 169? how’s the turning? hoping to pick up 169s and add a hollow kingpin with this board. It’s a sick setup btw, love it
[close]
Yes, 169s. Aftermarket red 88 conical bushings. Turns good. The wheelbase was advertised as 14.75. But when I measured, it's more like 14.625. This thing is more of a coping crusher than curb for me.
[close]

cool cool cool, sexy setup. what’s the width over the mounting holes? 169 looks perfect on there! 159s too skinny probably?
yes, way too skinny. there's that video of Frank Shaw with 215s on this and they look fine.

Anybody know of any shops that do mail-order and have the Cardiel football shape in stock?

I had one of the couch shapes last year with thunder 151s. I snapped it quick but it felt amazing while it lived.

Since then I had been on 8.125 boards but I recently got a pair of 169s and I’m skating them with an 8.62. I want to get a deck that works better with these trucks and I was thinking of that Heroin Egg or a Drehobl deck. Anything that’s not too crazy shaped and doesn’t taper too much in the back and has medium to steep concave. Any suggestions?

I loved this one and it’s got steeper concave and kicks. It’s 8.8 so 169’s should feel fine on it (I was using Ace 55’s on it when I rode it last and those were awesome)

Do you like big wide nose, small tail, and adjustable WB (14.25"/14.75")? Drehobl deck.

Do you like a smaller nose and tail that's easily manipulable? Heroin egg.

I was going to ask if Girl has made any improvements since the early 2000's..I must of had 6 over the course of a Summer that snapped when they probably shouldn't of. I loved them but I was young and poor and I couldn't justify how short of life span was expected.

Wood quality is significantly better now. It pressure cracks fast, but it doesn't affect the deck performance/durability.

just a head up, that deck has a sub 6 inch nose
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Cheapest I’ve seen is $1200 but that’s in Australian Dollars which are rooted.

Anyone seen one of these in real life? They’re 10.25, wondering if they’d work with 215s.

Giving this another bump because that War Pig looks so damn sexy I had to order one. Whats the length/WB specs? It looks pretty comparable to the Curb Crusher you said was more like a 14.6" WB, but I love some comfy 14.75"-15" WB and 33ish" length
I don't really understand what's going on and I haven't read this thread yet, but I can tell I'm angry.

so after a couple of months on the Black Label Lance Mountain deck, I've moved it onto the wall and got this...

9.1 x 31.88 x 14.4
Indy 169's
OJ 53mm Hardline
Bones Superswiss

2 things I don't like...its too short and my grip job didn't turn out how I imagined it.

although I had buyers remorse, during my first session with it, I managed to pop pretty big ollies, by my standards. We started piling up obstacles and ended with highest ollie at 57cm (22 inches); which for me is the highest in the last year and half since starting up slating again.

I'm gonna try putting 159's on it and see if it feels any different
