Been feeling nostalgic.
New Deal Danny Sargent slick 9.3
Indy 159 hollow low kingpin
Spitfire f4 radial full 97 56 new formula
Ace bearings
Roughneck Allen hardware
Jessup

How are those Ace bearings?

Really great, especially for the price. So fast, in my experience better than super reds.

Is this 14.125 or 14.375 wb? I think I should get another Dane1.

14.1 wb but it still feels great with Aces for all the things that I can make it do.
And yes you should get another one..its like reuniting with an old lover

Earlier in this thread someone said 9.0 Hockey decks are indetical to Anti-Hero Orange Eagles. Is that still true?

On Hockey's website they list a 14.5 wheelbase, and CCS says it's 15.

Everything else look like the Orange Eagle. I like that shape, and would gladly buy the Hockey if it's the same.

Just wondering if any of y'all bought one and measured it.

Usually have two setups going, my daily driver 8.25-8.5 popsicle and then something fun. Right now I’m running a Sea Rat 9” Swizzle stick.

Sea Rat Swizzle Stick
9”x31.6”x14”wb
Venture 5.8 (biggest trucks I had on hand)
Spitfire 50mm conical full
Reds
Jessup

Honestly feels amazing on the 8.5” trucks. Very easy to ride. I’d have preferred some 8.75” trucks, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

Just wondering if any of y'all bought one and measured it.

Some people did say it was the same, but then others said it was not the same, so I wonder if they have two shapes they had out at some point or other.

Black Label and other brands also had the same shape as the orange eagle - 9 x 33 x 15 - but now have a shorter version with 14.5 wb, so it is entirely possible that they did the same at some point.

BBS / Generator regular 9 is the big one, but as with all the shorter options, 144p and others have said there is also a new shorter 9 coming out for shop boards and the like, so could easily be that shape.

I have an unused old FA board I got on clearance a while back that is 9 x almost 33 and almost 15 wb but it is still shorter than an orange eagle I compare it to, but just as wide.

FA and Hockey are the same / use the same shapes too, but I haven't seen any new FA or Hockey boards in person since I got that other one on sale, so I couldn't really say what they are now.

Hope that helps anyway.

Edit:

Every other shop that I could see that has board dimensions has the Hockey board listed with a 15" wb, so I think I would probably go with 15 more so than 14.5, but then again, is it worth trying to chance it?

Heroin 9.5” symmetrical with 9” ace hollows? Thoughts?

Little worried about the shorter wheelbase, 14.25” as I’m taller 6’4” and just want some crisp pop, not doing anything crazy flip wise plus cruising around with 93a

I just went through a box and found another Hockey board, definitely exact same specs as an orange eagle - 9 x 33 and a bit with 15 wb.

Hockey team graphic, cream with mask / face something board.

Blockhead dropped another batch of the Rick Howard modern shape decks today.

9.5” wide with a 14.5 WB, BBS wood, silk screened and wheel wells.  I picked one up on the prior drop and absolutely love the shape. It’s so fun on curbs. So grabbed another one today.

Posting here because I think it’s a rad deck and last year they went fast.

.

The old Welcome Sledgehammer shape was Nolan's board, which some people loved and I had quite a few pass through my hands, maybe even still have one or two used ones, but I hadn't seen any for a while now.

This was the old pic, with info copied from the Welcome site way back when it was fresh and new, before things went sideways.

Seems very similar in dimensions, remembering PS Stix were always measured with the concave.

I know it is not my board, but the info blurb from Welcome says they skate like an 8.75 popsicle.  They are funny to look at but when skating it they feel like a normal board easily enough, at least the older Welcome boards did anyway.

Guessing this will skate about the same, which is also a bit of a different board to what are often the crazy bigger or more unusual shapes that Scram have put out in the past.

I got a few Welcome boards on a good sale after they switched to BBS and they felt really good, the Golem 9.25 and another one, so if Scram is still using BBS for their boards, everything should go nicely on that one too.

* BBS bias for sure here though.

I’m sure I’ll like it for a couple of weeks(assuming since this was Nolan’s first shape he couldn’t get it w/o having PS doing it) then it’ll be a curb only board once it sogs. Scram isn’t going to ps wood, just this one.
Definitely BBS biased here also.
