Haven’t skated a Heroin egg is a few years.  Had to support my guy Franky

That Franky egg looks fun. Enjoy!

I might swap out the wheels for 93 or 95 du wheels and put in hard bushings, depending on how my session at the park goes. It won’t be until Sunday or Monday due to rain.

Question about that board - is it still the same / usual BBS feel of DLX concave, just squared edges, or is it a thicker and different board overall?

I had only seen pics of them and just wasn't sure about the edges or the all over yellow, so wanted to check first, but the shape and dimensions seem like a lot of fun.

Thanks.
The concave is a bit mellower with a squared tail. The last Huffer I had was over a year ago, but this reminds me of it, except for: wheelbase, more squared tail, and possibly a slightly less wide nose. Also, it’s about 1.1 cm thick, while the popsicle is 0.8 cm thick.

Thanks for the details - exactly what I was wondering, as one of the pics I saw someone had posted, the board looked way thicker, so although it is probably fine and nothing to worry about, this is the simple but annoying thing that would be bugging me if I got this board.

I am just going to play it safe and get any other normal DLX board and not worry about this one - at least I know exactly what I am getting and most likely a normal shape for something else I am familiar with and have been on before, but having a cruiser and fun board is always nice too.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Grimple
Indy 215
Conical full 54
Quantum Atoms

The large board is large. Surprisingly hard to skate

Astounding rail coordination. This thing looks super fun. What’s the overall length/wb?

Nice looking time machine. Is that an Olson? Can’t remember who’s graphic that was(or if it was someone’s).
As always, great grip job.

I've been skating a Black Label tugboat shape and love it, but was always wanting to see what the "jumbotron" would be like so I ordered one.  Seems like the same exact shape as the tugboat but just slightly scaled up from 9.5 to 10".  I'm psyched to set this one up to use in my crusty driveway with the Soft Sliders.  The pink stain on top is sick too bad it's going to be mostly covered up.  This is my first time setting anything up with Ace's but I had them already, same with the red Rib Bones.  The pink SC rails will probably be used on somethign else.

Lucero rules.

Those both look super fun. I was thinking about trying out the tugboat and Jumbotron.

@AnimalChinaski79 how wide is the tugboat over the trucks? I’ve been eyeing that shape for a while but have never seen one in person

Damn that BLKLBL BOQRD LOOKS GOOD. If I had a board company I would do all warm colors for top stain, pink, orange, yellow, just no red though

Tugboat is just shy of 9.25 across the trucks and the Jumbotron is close to 9.75.  The Jumbotron really is just a slightly scaled up Tugboat.  I skated it a bit yesterday and loved it.  I had to do a similar grip job on it as my older setup so it wouldn't mess with my head too much.

Get the Dino Daclin instead. It’s not as wide but it’s a similar shape and only 80 Euros.

They look so good - thanks for posting pics and info too.

I have only seen one at a park someone had set up, but we seem to get very few of them around here too.

Worth the fun when you can find one, by the looks of them.

Does anyone magic carpet their setups? I’ve been bouncing between my regular 8.5 and 9.25+ setups but I can’t help but feel the wider trucks hinder my skating.

I know Jason Adams rides Ace 44s (8.25) on every setup he skates which seems insane to me, but it’s got me interested. I main skate curbs and smaller transitions right now.

Part of me thinks it will help me convert full time to the bigger boards which I want to, but I just know the size differences will bother me mentally haha

For transition and curb skating, I’ve found a magic carpet setup makes things harder. I have to concentrate a lot harder on where the trucks are, otherwise I end up with my wheels on the coping/curb instead of my axle.
I like having my trucks slightly wider than the deck that way my heel is almost directly over my axle grooves

I tried the t-11 8.75 thunders on 2 9+ decks and thought it was really fun. I tried them on an Antihero 9.02 BA popsicle and the Antihero 9.25 square shaped BA. I mostly skate curbs and have been on wider wheels too. It was nice to have more board with less weight.
Man the long board truck thing killed indy for me. I was willing to set aside the racism, but long boarding, gtfo... - DH
