I heard reynolds was going to Addidas

Someone on this site claimed that they had a show ready for him to go and everything. Supposedly that shoe came out and doesn’t move units. If this is true, I’m dying to know which shoe it was.
Tbh, id say a match court. A lot of their recent pro’s just get match courts. Daewon, MJ, Nak,

Reynolds was indeed suppose to go to Adidas. Same sources that knew MJ and Daewon were going had his name in the mix as well. Turns out Soletech wasn't having it and held him to his contract then threatened legal action. I know MJ broke his contract causing the Carroll debacle. I'm not sure about Daewon but I'm assuming it was on better terms since there wasn't any public backlash and if it wasn't on good terms they were just simply more professional than Crail. I still support Reynolds and its been 3 years since that big switch but if he once again decides to make the switch I think people will be accepting of the move. Unless he pulls a total MJ, which i doubt he would.

Not really a conspiracy, this is a fact. Jason Dill refuses to sell FA/Hockey gear to the shop I ride for because the shop sells cruisers and long boards. But they sell FA at vans stores which also sells cruisers and longboards.
It's almost like one of the owners of FA rides for Vans, weird.

everything is designed to be as disposable as possible, you really think they aint found a better solution to axle nuts in the last 50 years? nah they want those threads fucked up so if you want new wheels/bearings you're gonna fuck your trucks up taking them off and have to buy new ones. one wheel shrinking quicker than the others? bushings randomly blowing out? lost count of the amount of times kids say their bearings are fucked/broke/dead and it's solely from bent shields.

can someone come up with a nice conspiracy theory regarding the new marketing move from nike sb (orange label)?

seems more to me like they've realised people who actually skate arent into the shitty gaudy colourways/collabs or whatever bs theyre putting out now and are trying to tap back into that market with staple models in solid colourways. if you flick through the sb thread people been saying for ages they should just release solid colourways every season. kinda shocked there's no janoski colourway up there with the rest of them.

i dunno but i do remember nike releasing this specific tshirt that was white with orange sleeves in holland years ago (orange being the dutch football shirt colour) that said NSB (nike skate boarding) on the chestpocket.

NSB also was nationalist socialist party during wwII, and the only politicaly party allowed during 40-45

I think they pulled it

I wonder how he’s feeling about the current rebranding of emerica, especially with miner leaving. He deserves a fat pay check, he’s kept it legit his whole career.

Companies put out b-sides and rough cuts to subtly encourage amateur re-edits. These re-edits, when uploaded to YouTube, ensure that the actual part/video will be lost in the mix and thus, much more difficult to bootleg.

i think the most important question here is why is there a skateboard with shane shecklers name on it?

Incredible. The Shecklers are surely an illuminati family. It also looks as if Shane is possibly wearing the same white power shirt in the picture with Terry.

The man we know as Tony Hawk is actually a CIA agent tasked with marketing skateboards to middle class teenagers, causing them to injure themselves and boosting the sale of opioid painkillers for years to come. The real Tony Hawk died in 1982.

Shock pads were deemed uncool by the industry professionals because it has a slight chance of extending the life of your board. Also on the opposite end of the spectrum, rails were popularized because you're actually creating small stress cracks in your board. They recently contacted Darren Navarette to make Lappers again because the cracks are closer to the trucks, but it didn't work because Lappers will always be stupid.

MJ didn't break his contract. Crail was hoping he'd do them a solid by waiting it out until they sold his dead stock. He decided it was in his best interest to appear in that segment with Daewon and get on Adidas for an immediate paycheck. Carroll just melted down because a business that was already struggling got left with a bunch of dead stock and he thought MJ lied to him.

Chico was never on Lakai. He was on DVS forever.

Not surprising. Nike and Adidas wanted some of the best riders they could get. Koston and MJ are legends and Puig is unreal.

Not sure if this has been a post, but I got a pretty good one. Came up with it while super high.

Decks have always been about the same price, right? Until recently.....

Back in the 80’s, boards were super wide. And then as the late 90’s came around, they started getting more and more narrow. Using less wood. Hence the same price around $50 per deck.

Not until recently have decks started to go up to about $55, maybe $60 if it had foil or it’s a slick or something.

Boards are also a lot wider now.

Companies deliberately started making boards smaller to use less wood and keep the price point at around $50 to keep up with inflation. And now the trend is wider boards which use more material, so the price point is now going up.

If this trend continues for the foreseeable future, we’ll see boards rise above $60. If we’re to keep that $55 price point, we’ll start seeing cheaper made boards across the board, or the trend of smaller decks will come back.

I hope I didn’t trip anyone out too bad.
This doesn't change much, though, it isn't like they use the rest of the wood to make new boards, they probably just use the same 10 inch sheets of wood to all board sizes.

Allen.
