He does a backside 50-50 on a small rail in some old video but I can't remember which one. I think maybe he doesn't like skating them though.

You cant manual a rail.

Lol but seriously, his Round 3 part has a bunch of clips of him skating an exceptionally dangerous rail from the top of one semi truck to the other.

He did a 180 nosegrind on a rail in a random clip. Maybe a Danny Minnick clip? I can't recall. It was in his jheri curl days haha.

All I'm saying is his concentration on manuals and flip in flip out he could absolutely destroy a rail or create a new ledge/rail genre with his tech wizardry.

Tell me this if Tiago had the tech of Daewon and brought it to a ledge it'd be sick as fuck.

Remember the Paradox thread? Griptape with holograms on the underside to aid in whatever BS the owner, Ari believed in. I remember Duffy co-signed Paradox, which now makes sense.

Decks have always been about the same price, right? Until recently.....

[close]

I'm amazed that boards haven't dramatically increased over the past 2 decades. If boards went along with inflation the same board that cost $40 in 2000 should cost $58.36 in today's dollars.

i mean, that's actually accurate...

shop used to have deluxe boards with grip for $45...

now they're $53-58 + $5 for grip...

The bigger/richer companies involved in skateboarding are leading the push away from physical releases of videos because they can afford to pay for the rights to good music which physical media were a way of circumventing.

Companies pushed wider decks because it makes skating easier, thus little kids improve faster and buy more product.

Notice how other trends like baggy pants, puffy shoes have come back around but no ones out there filming their part on a 7.63 anymore, now are they?

This isn't a conspiracy so much as an observation.

CBD works.

I swear it helps with chronic inflammation lol.

Besides, we all know skateboarding was created as a concerted marketing initiative by big tobacco and big pharma to drum up more customers, in the short and long-term, respectively.

This isn't a conspiracy so much as an observation.

Companies pushed football or egg-shaped decks during the early '90s in order to subliminally stimulate reproduction. As skateboarding died out, they wanted a new crop of offspring to ensure a healthy future market. The first stage was sexually explicit graphics such as the World Randy Colvin, which got young skaters horny, but they needed to implant the desire to reproduce, hence, the egg-shape with its subtle reference to the embryo. All of this culminated with the famous Kalis line at Love Park where he steps off the board and pushes a stroller.

Notice how other trends like family instagram accounts and Volvo SUVs have come back around but no one's out there filming on egg shapes, now are they? This isn't an observation so much as a conspiracy.
