My guess is no. Haven't seen a new colorway drop in a long while and the Rowan's are on sale at vans, and searching 'Rowan' only brings up the Rowan 2....even searching for Rowan Shoe (which is the tag for V1 only brings up the Rowan 2; you can only find the V1 by rummaging in the sale section).

I havent skated mine much yet, just a quick test ride on my front yard. They felt pretty surfy (between ace/indy), stable, lighter than what Ive been riding lately (af1, stage 4). Im going skating today and try to grind these as much as possible to get the feel of how they grind. Oh yeah, the top bushing was cut right away because the washer's edge is really sharp and eats into that bushing like a knife. That sucks. I swapped both top washers and no issues so far.

Reach out to them on insta (DM them); they'll hook you up with new bushings...personally, I'm just using blue 92 indy's now they seem to feel the best at the cost of a wee bit of grind clearance.

If you like the Indy/Ace/Theeve/ML style of turn, Slappy give you:

Pros
Best grind clearance out.
Best grind. period. fight me.
Faster turn than Indy.
Not squirrelly like ACE.
Quick return and stable on center.
Forged plates are the same height as cast
Less wheelbite than anything I've skated

Cons
Shitty top washer.
Heavy just like a comparable indy or ace
Height isn't for everyone.

Every time I see you have good things to say about a truck I want to go out and buy a pair to try. But then I remember I'm weird and actually like forged Thunders and it's likely not a good idea.

By this forum's standards don't trust me: if I want the ACE/Indy feel I prefer slappys, for the venture/thunder feel I prefer royals....skating just about anything not DLX and you're kook'd.

its crazy how 9 years ago, a story about smashing a significant other's personal property worth thousands of dollars, did not raise any red flags with the viewers.

Can't speak for everyone but I remember it sounded fucking mad to me back then.
Although admittedly, with the passage of time I had convinced myself it wasn't a story told by her but rather something either rumoured or that Cole said himself. Not that that changes it much, but honestly rewatching it now and it's Christine telling the story it seems all the more disturbing.

I have no knowledge about the other details - i.e other instances of (physical) abuse / coming close to killing her so I can't comment on that other than to say it made me feel sick reading it.
