Uh ok? Weird take but you do know Ace come stock with dual duros right?

Softer bottoms for turn and hard top for a snap back to center.

didn't purchase it, but won this in a techdeck Instagram giveaway over the holiday. Where you tag a friend. Me and my buddy agreed to split the decks. There were also a ton of techdecks. Loose ones and multipacks. too many.

size medium shirt that I'm not sure what to do with.
8.0 deck. Shape is actually perfect, but not wide enough to ride.

I must be old.

Either that or I’m missing the graphics from the late 90’s (like Shorty’s cereal character decks)

Because that is an awesome graphic, and I am way more excited than I should be over it.

I saw a red foil Kool Aid Man graphic from DGK at the skatepark last week and thought “I want that deck”

 Baby->kid->teenager->young adult->adult->Old->Die

As a bell curve, the beginning and ends have all the same interests apparently, lol
I’m not letting my YouTube algorithm anywhere near that video.

My daughter is turning 11 in a couple days and decided she was done riding one of my old setups and wants her own. I went on my local shop’s website and let her build out her own setup. 7.75 Zero deck with the 3 skulls with blood running down from the nose, venture trucks, 52mm spitfires, China bones, and shop hardware. She got a fresh pair of Vans old schools to go with it. She was hyped as fuck when she opened her gifts today.
[close]

I like her style, what grip did she get?
[close]

She got some krooked grip with a bunch of flowers on it. Completely clashes with the zero graphic but the deck is blue on the top and the grip between the flowers is clear so it actually looks pretty dope. She is hyped on it so I’ll let it slide even though I’ll never ride anything but straight black.
[close]
We need a photo chief

I’m too technologically challenged to post a pic from my iPhone or I would do so. She did get props from one of the local rippers at the park for her choice of grip and it made her day.

Fit is weird since M had the arms ok but overall length was like an S. Went for an L and is perfect. Quality is solid.
Btw skated the Dial Tones yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised.

Picked up a 5 pack of BBS GS8 shapes from Generator’s skatesamples.com site.  When you get them in this volume, they’re down to about $30.50 USD after shipping + taxes & the popsicles are about a buck cheaper a throw.
Save even more $$$ if you can commit to 10 of a given shape at a time.
Top & bottom stains vary, but quality is the usual top-notch BBS stuff.

Dims on these here fuckers are 9x32x14.5 w/ a 6.75 snout & a 6.5 ass.
With wood prices on the rise, I figured I’d be a financial ding-Dong not to lock in a low price for the next year (plus) of wider decks.
When my stack of 8.5s is burnt, I’m going back for a short box of the G86 to finish out my feasible skate life on since I’ve only got a few more productive years in me before I hang it up for a walker.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?

Yeah they sure do look good!!!

Are the bottom stains the same as the tops on all of them, eg green top with green bottom, blue top with blue bottom, etc?  Or just the coloured tops??

On one hand I want to order some, just to share the joy, but on the other, it is a long and expensive journey to AU and I really don't need more boards.

I don't know either, but someone who maybe ordered boards or had some connection posted this, which has all the dimension info for all their boards, which is still up in the Woodshop thread:

https://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=120409.msg4016120#msg4016120

The first thing I did when I saw this was save the pic file, just in case it got taken down, but no one has asked for it to be removed.

Just safer to post the link than keep reposting the pic file, but thanking @Fast_Freddie for the info always helps too!

Thanks!

All the Black Label boards I have do have the same colour on the top ply, as they do on the bottom ply, so regardless of the actual colour, it is blue on the top and the bottom, or orange on top and the bottom.

Some other brands that use BBS / Generator seem to also have the same two colours per deck, just the top and bottom stained, but those two stains the same.

Others I have noticed have different colours on each board, eg green on top with a blue bottom, purple on top with aqua on the bottom ply.  Not limited to specific brands, but I have noticed it on small brands as well as bigger ones, like Baker, Deathwish, Birdhouse.

I find it interesting to see the different colour options, ply layups, etc.

Almost obsessive actually.

Curious to hear how you find those compared to the usual Spitfire Formula Four, after riding Dial Tone wheels too.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.
