I’m kinda bummed Reynolds didn’t want to add a cup sole to the half cab.

Then again he’s not jumping like crazy anymore

If they made a cupsole Half Cab - actual cupsole, not Wafflecup - my shoe madness would be cured, and I would buy every colour. But I think from the manufacturing side, that might cost as much as just designing a whole new shoe. And they'd probably have to design a new sole unit for it. The only true cupsole I know of in their line right now is the AVE, and if they put the AVE sole on the Half Cab, your eyes would bleed.

Disregard the bold part - I forgot about the Berle, and I guess the Fairlane is back again. Either of those soles would look fine on a Half Cab, but I do still think that would be a logistical/manufacturing challenge.

I had a pair of those Cab Syndicate Lites. They looked super cool and skated well, but they were completely destroyed in under a week. Sole was completely bald, sidewall wore down, and the suede had ollie holes within a few days. Other people on here posted similar experiences. The rumor was that Vans shelved that shoe because of quality issues

yeah, reissues of them and XLT are probably the only two shoes that would make me convert back to vans, but as I mentioned a few comments back, vans are missing the mark with their reissues.

Just by the look of the depth of the pattern of she sole, you know the durability is going to be really bad.
I'm not a fan of that guy Christian Flores because he is sometimes really corny, but you have to respect the fact that he puts out content on the regular, and that he seems to work a lot on the editing of his videos. While I sometimes disagree with his reviews or feel second hand embarrassement, he works a lot and moves his ass, and I respect that.

eS already had similar design elements in their shoes long time ago, more than 10 years ago, it was eS Foothills or something similar.

I remember those because Javier Sarmiento had footage killing it in those awful shoes and I was wondering what shoes are those.
