Kind of wish they had done the court purple 2.0 colorway with the purple toe for these, regardless still hyped for the drop. Gonna try my best the get a pair, the j pack dunks always seem to be the best quality

Yeah I’ve heard that as well. Dunk hyped is definitely still as strong as ever. I’m guessing Nike will try and boost the stock of dunks especially GR’s so hopefully it’ll be a bit simpler to cop.


I also thought the ishod dunks were nice. He’s been skating old stock of them a lot recently I’ve been seeing. I doubt they would ever do it, but it would be interesting to see the ishod dunks come back alongside the originally puffy version

Talkin Dunks, I've never had luck on SNKRS. Only ever won through raffles held at skateshops. It's better to go through your local if they have an SB account because many shops do a local area only raffle that aren't flooded with bots and people across the country.

SNKRS is a good way to get other shoes if you're into that, though! Not too many releases had the same kind of hype that dunks had this year.

I have only hit on SNKRS twice. Both times were my first raffle with those accounts. I have one set up under my usual email. and another set up with my work email. Both times I hit were right after creating the accounts.

I liken it to your first trip to a casino, where you sign up for your players card you put in machines. You sign up, load $20 on there hit for like $100 and never hit again after.

Hit 2 dunks and 2 Jordan 1’s in SNKRS this year. But I enter the majority of them. It’s just luck of the draw. The more you enter the more likely you are to hit.

EDIT: I believe GR dunks were on ID a few years back before this recent blow up. The panel selections were grouped together weird so you weren't able to re-create hype colorways. I may be tripping but I am fairly certain.

I’ve never once hit on SNKRS and I go for every dunk and almost every Jordan 1. Never hit on a skate shop raffle either. My luck has been rough to say the least. SNKRS is at least worth a shot I’d say. Definitely prefer local raffles even though I still haven’t hit. If you’re right with your local I know some shops will hook up the homies with buying opportunities but that’s very rare these days.


As for the Lakers nyjah’s I’d say that’s the best colorway that shoe has had. Probably won’t be getting them, but this is the first time I can say about a nyjah shoe that I would buy it if there was a super good sale.

I’ve gotten shoes off special events. Every other time has been a miss.

Nyjah’s shoe is comfortable but I’m not confident in durability. I have the spidiron colorway and you’ll need to go half a size up unless you have a thin foot. The biggest low point is that they say Nyjah.

Has anyone skated regular dunks? I know they’ve changed the soles on the SB but how big is the difference, other than the thinner tongue?

Has anyone skated regular dunks? I know they’ve changed the soles on the SB but how big is the difference, other than the thinner tongue?

I have a pair of SB highs I skate every now and then and a pair of regular dunk highs that I chill in, and there are some notable differences.

1. Soles: The outsoles are different, with a slightly different tread pattern and the non sb dunk having a midsole that is just a hair taller. I think the SB outsole is made with some layer of foam that isn't there in the non SB's as well.

2. Padding: Less padding on the tongue of course, but the collar also seems just a little thinner too. You definitely gotta switch out those insoles, too.

3. Fit: SB's seem to be a wider fit, my non SB's fit me a bit more snug.

These differences are so minor that I dont think they would be too noticable when skated. I think it's probably safe to say that if you like skating SB dunks, you would probably also be able to skate a non SB. But also keep in mind this is a comparison between highs, I can't really weigh in on the SB dunk low and it's counterpart because I've only ever owned SB lows.


Also sick that you guys have hit off SNKRS, especially this year! Heh, must be nice... I'm fortunate that my local is an orange label account and does a local raffle for every release, which increases my odds of getting lucky. Sometimes they even put some stock up first come first serve. This summer, I was downtown near the shop and got a notification that they were selling a limited number of laser oranges in store. Walked in 5 mins later and got a size 9 no problem

I've never noticed any difference between SB and classic dunks other than the tongue thickness or maybe the leather felt more quality on the SBs. But if you're actually skating them it never really mattered. We used to buy these fucking things at Champs for $50 and just put the SB insoles in them. I cannot believe people are buying these for hundreds of dollars.
