I bought a roll of griptape.
I then used a old sheet of jessup I had as a guide to just the roll. Every sheet I cut was 2 inches to short. Original Jessup piece I used as a guide is also 2 inches short. Fuck me, and also fuck whoever I got that jessup from.
To look on the bright side (if you can) I remember running sheets sideways with minimal to no waste, like grip squares in the late 90s / 00s, which would cover five boards from four sheets of grip.
You could grip like that again which might help with that issue.
If you are a full black grip guy, maybe you could cut them up into squares anyway and market them as such.
A normal sheet is 9 x 33, so if they are 9 x 31, cutting them into 8.25 to 8.5 lengths would mean you get 3 squares (which you put on sideways starting at the tail end) and a strip between 5.5 and 6.25 left over which would adequately cover the nose, still gripping a whole board with no gaps.
Just a thought anyway.
