Accepted to PA school.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Congratulations pal! That's great news.

I had a hammer of a day.

Went to the new jam space for the first time.

I heard my finished masters. They're incredible. We banged out 14 songs in 3 days of recording. Most of it live. Solos and gangs dubbed.

It's mixed mastered and done. Now we just gotta get it pressed. Some of the guys have done that before. I haven't. I feel like someone like me would frighten label kooks away.

The recordings are incredible. It couldn't have come off better and because we're like return customers it was all really cheap.

Probably going to do two 7" releases.

I fixed my son's toy - it was a train and I had to take it apart and open the eletric motor

It was my first time doing something electronic like that and I'm pretty stoked I was able to fix it

I think I have the bug to fix more things and learn more about it

Been injured for over a month, but these last couple days the injury is finally getting better and finally starting to not hurt as bad to where I can kinda skate again. Just been doing mellow flatground (which is what I normally skate anyways) and it just feels so good to skate again and pop some tricks. I was so concerned that I was gonna be rusty and lose a lot of tricks but I’ve been feeling pretty solid on my board and a lot of the tricks are still there surprisingly. Haven’t tried a lot of my more risky tricks yet though because I want to wait until the injury is fully healed to try em, but I hope they’re all still there too.
My stamina is pretty garbage though from not being too active this last month and half, so definitely gotta work on getting that back.

I’m getting my purple belt in BJJ on Saturday.

Worked my ass off for it, so I’m stoked.

Thanks bud, I’m so down for tapas.

At 6’1 215lbs, flying stuff isn’t my strong suit. Last time I tried a flying armbar I almost knocked myself clean out.

i finally landed a switch tre yesterday! it wasn't the best one ever, but it kind of broke down the thought barrier of not believing it was possible.

not that i can do them all every single try, but i have now done in all stances (at least once) shove-its, kickflips, heelflips, bs and fs kickflips/heelflips, varial kickflips/heelflips, inward heels, hardflips and tre flips.

not sure that i'll ever do switch and nollie impossibles, switch bigspins, switch bigflips etc. but i'm pretty satisfied with the list above.

that's a hell of a flip trick resume! Strong work.

. . .

After beating the latest Zelda, vidiot games had been kinda dry to me. But Lies of P got me stoked on the "Souls" genre (kinda random starting point, but the art style and environment hooked me). Been playing Elden Ring co-op mod with my friend, started Bloodborne and Sekiro, and just asked my moms for the Souls Trilogy for PS4.

Kinda corny, but the trial and error of playing those games reminds me of aspects of skating. Sometimes you gotta grind and grind to make it happen, other times its first try.

Hammer of a day.

Had band practice. Wrote two new songs. With lyrics too.

Didn't get to skate yet but I get my family tomorrow.

Gonna skate Gloucester park gonna check out that little thing in Ipswich.

My Mom lives like a block from the old daily hill bomb in Gloucester. It's too gnarly for me now but there's a secondary

Then I'm going to Marbehead. Gonna be at the 76 curbs

Merry Christmas!

Nothing better than a Christmas Day skate: everything is closed, guards and police aren’t working and if they are they may be feeling more charitable.  Have fun!

Friend of mine hooked me up with some virtually brand new Aces after seeing me struggle with my worn out Ventures the other day. Didn't get much time to feel them out, but I'm looking forward to trying something new.

I’ve acquired a lot of gym equipment over the last few years. Recently got a decent bench press and it’s amazing. My brother has started to come over once a week and we have a great workout and then cook. He’s a longtime gym head so he knows the best workouts and all about proper technique and diet. Then I use the stuff he shows me on my own. It’s great not having to go to a gym anymore. All I need now is a leg press. Trying to have washboard abs this summer.

I finally have a car again after 2 YEARS!!! I live in a place where public transportation sucks, and I was (not kidding) spending hundreds upon hundreds of dollars a month to get back and forth to work using uber. I feel like I can start a life again. the idea of just being able to get a gym membership, to go grocery shopping when I need to and it not be a huge ordeal, to not have to sit in some random dude's cologne and make small talk after working all day... I haven't been dating the past few years and not having a car has played a major factor in that decision.

tonight was the first night I was able to drive home from work tonight completely alone, in total silence, actually decompressing.  I am feeling very grateful tonight.
