yes more padded. It is the tongue from the 990v3 MIUSA model. That waffle cone looking texture. Also the heel 410 in the similar MIUSA 990 style. Materials. Heel. Bunch of call backs to the 990 which the DMV is certainly known for putting on the map

Vu has the big majority of these shoes and a few of their homie shops that Gary is tight with got size runs as well (Kinetic, Theory, Orchard etc) but they're all on the East Coast so none are making their way out here to us.  So...if you want these Vu 440's, best bet is to snag them online at Vu when they launch!
