I’m curious to know as well who else was trying it. I can’t think of a lot of skaters that could skate that rail.
My guess would be Nolan Miskell

Right you are -

it was nolan miskell and he truly wasn’t trying to snake him and had actually tried it prior when the beam was still there i heard. an attempt is in the blood wizard video at 4:35
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Btz-sF6XIp8&t=320s

all is well and neither were truly bummed on the other, it was just a race for the trick. thrasher just has to make things dramatic for these edits obviously. the boardslide was absolutely insane.

Thank you guys! Curiosity satisfied haha.

Jesus Christ that attempt was such a sick clip! The just board snapping on the drop is nuts!

Steve Cab is at it again.

Lonely hearts club guy.

I'm at work so I can't post the actual post but someone straight told him to find someone in his own age bracket and of course Steve had to act dumb.

WHATEVER / Re: Israel's right to exist

I’ll let you in on a secret. I’m not the one doing all the banning. I’ve done the least banning of any of the mods.

Keep thinking what you want of me. I’ve dealt with much worse in the navy than you could ever try to hurt me with on a fucking message board.

You’re so fucking pathetically thin skinned from your presumptions. Do yourself a favor and focus your account. You’ll never be welcome here.

I would thank you if you were anyone else. There are actually posters here that do each other kindnesses that are worthy of gratitude without any expectation of thanks. Those are the kind of people I am talking to when I post. You. You can fuck off. Enjoy your self imposed life of hostility. You don’t deserve any hospitality. Don’t expect any here.

The kind of people that you are 'talking' to are the people that say the things you like to hear and that confirm your view of things. Everyone else gets either a selfrighteous and condescending reply like this or get's banned by you straight away.

Noone makes worse art or music than pro skaters
[close]

Now this is a doco I’d like to see. What is it about skate art that sucks so much. Blender is decent, Gonz has his moments but is there anyone current who’s a great artist or musician?   I feel like skater music is even worse
[close]

I never get when skate photographers sell candies/portraits of skaters on the sesh and who would buy them
[close]

There are some Tobin Yelland prints that I think would be sick to own (Jason Lee ollie, Stranger front board handrail)
[close]

Yeah, but those are tricks.   Would you just want a random Malto portrait taken in between someone else skating
[close]

They're probably selling prints of Malto to everyone out there who wants to get hungry on it
[close]

Hah bad example, but you know what I mean.   Those filler lifestyle photos you see in your articles and mags

Lol yeah imagine having a Malto portrait hanging in the living room above the TV

I’ll likely grab those sbs once I can try them on. I like high profile toe caps for flicking, so that the suede or leather contacts grip tape instead of a flat toe where it’s all sole touching when flicking.
Plus these have that plate in the sole, and am I right in thinking it’s the same kind of plate that is in those running shoes that helped someone beat a running record and got banned? I think it will be cool to see how these are and I like that white and pink for summer
[close]
I'll preface this by saying I had never heard of this before today, so I could be mistaken on parts, but from what I can gather it seems like a lot of running shoes have had this feature for a while. I won't bore with the details but it's just kinda nike's marketing strategy (same thing with the Jordan 1) to claim their products are so good they got banned, in reality they just disregarded the rules to begin with. this new SB model has a nylon plate (cheaper than the typical carbon plate) which might be the first use of this in a skate shoe, but it really remains to be seen if this makes any difference whatsoever. the idea is that this stiffens up the shoe to prevent ankle injuries and promote stability. very similar to a boot shank, but it seems to typically be full-length in running shoes.
Personal experience: my arches really started hurting after skating Vulcs, in my late 30’s. So I switched back to cup sole and it went away.

Having that stable sole really seems to help with stabilization front to back of foot, which in my case, helped with arch pain.

So, a vulc with a stiffening plate might be really nice.

That name seems exactly what the shoe is: an incongruent and confusing mess of things.
[close]

I do not see what’s so confusing about the shoe.   Maybe not the best colorway, but it’s a runner/Air Max inspired shoe that I think could look pretty good
To me it’s not the colors (crazy colorways are fine)

It’s mostly the different materials, sole, and cut lines that make it disorganized looking to me.

For reference, I also thought the Wair 1’s were a mess.

I think Dunks, Nyjah 3’s, Leo’s, and even the Vertabrae are well designed shoes. (Except too many holes in the Nyjah 3’s. The red one looks like a strawberry., haha)
