been looking for an egg that i can use with 159's.

i've been thinking about getting that chocolate couch shape, drilling the nose to be shorter and using that as the tail. drilling a board seems easy in theory but maybe hard in practice. like how do i get the thing to stay completely still?
[close]
Villani 9.12 board is perfect with 159’s. Deck tapers so truck fit flush.

can attest to it, just set mine up with 6.1s today and its super flush

let’s see, both of y’all. Measurements match listing too?
will do tomorrow

i got 9.125 widest/31.8/14.25 wb

There was an 8.3 egg around by Heroin before. And the Krooked Cromer "Lil Snuff" was 8.38

I didn't even see your reply until after I posted and went back to check, but yes, same thoughts!

Most egg shaped boards taper a lot, so the 8.3 DLX egg is about right for 8 inch wide trucks over the bolts, Cromer Waving Hand or other Krooked boards, but they might be a bit scarce depending on where you live.  There are still some in Australia.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Krooked-Cromer-Waving-Hand-8-38-Skateboard-Deck/324215631441

It is also known as "Lil snuff" or "football shape" but it is the same board.

Yeah the Bighead yellow ones. They actually roll pretty decent. I've cruised on the board about 5 times to 7-11 and to a few spots. Have not had a problem with cracks/rocks or anything. Only complaint is that I've had to adjust my bearings in them twice. As in smush them in again twice. 2 wheels became a little stuck. Never had that before, unless my 1992 memory is off. I just remember flatspots from then. I usually use 52 Bigheads, BUT I think I may size down to 50 from now on. I've got some 52mm F4s on my 7.81, and I may be in the minority, but I think I like the cheaper wheels better. Albeit, because I'm used to them.

I've got some boardycakes 44s that I'm pondering using on my Lotti showgirls (I bought this to hang, but the shape is perfection - I may not contain myself. I've set it up twice then took the trucks back off - ha).

That looks great.  Wonder if I could get away with running 139’s on that with a wider wheel like conical fulls?

Broke my Deedz football on flat tonight. :(

TBF, it was 34°, and I landed hard on the nose a handful of times.

Board was great though! R7s stay super crisp.

I think the Deedz is too narrow for my size 11s. Flip tricks were great on it, but slides and even crooks were harder with the narrow nose & tail. Plus my 8.25" trucks are a little wide and I don't want to buy a new set.

Here's to hoping for a 8.5-8.75 football, 8.25 over the trucks and <14.25 wheelbase.

Get a loveseat. Solid shape, surprisingly sturdy, and short wheelbase, 13.875
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

I saw a Primitive Villani and had a stand on it - bugger me that tail is so tiny!!!

Anyone else who has them or seen them in person think that too, or am I just used to bigger tails?

currently on one and youre correct, its tiny relative to almost everything. really good for quick, snappy pop and it works well with my timing. gotta skate it backwards on flatbars, took one split to figure that out.

switch with the small nose has to be great, will try and sw flip it after i heal up.

After standing on the old 9.2 Cardiel big board I have still set up, there is a huge difference.

Always interesting to see and hear other impressions of how different things ride.

been skating the boiled egg recently, very good board however I think I prefer the 8.9 fried egg I had last time. Had them on 148s which work quite well.

One thing that bums me out about the heroin decks however is the “razor top” thing, the board chips like crazy which isn’t too bad of an issue it just looks crap .

I also skated the girl love seat on the 148s however I felt that the board was too short almost, too blunt compared to the heroin shape. However the girl deck did not even chip.

Question to you guys, I’ve noticed the way sharper noses help me do flip tricks much easier (kickflips at least) as I for the life of me can’t skate these new really blunt shapes every brand seems to be pumping out right now. Is this the same for you guys?

Been thinking of trying the 148s on either the new 8.9 heroin eg gor the 8.8 frog one that just got released. Also yea my kickflips suffer a fair ammount on blunt nosed boards aswell. Its either I do one really well or just completly fuck up my flick.

Al Partanen has a side project called 'Space Pupil.' This egg looks promising. 9.25 with a 14.25 wheelbase.

go for it, with my first egg i was shitting it thinking they wouldn't fit but if you don't mind a little magic carpet it's pretty good. i think a little magic carpet works well with these boards anyway. the thunder 148 is in my worthless opinion the most versatile truck between 8.125-9.

9.25 BL snake n rat egg
159 hollows
big balls
52 bones 100s v4

fun shape, i like the 14.5 WB, but i'm a little thrown off by the longer tapered nose, especially in the shovel nose era. not sure of its intended function, i guess.
