asked FOS on Instagram like a man if they’d be making smaller Eggs for us 8.5-9.0 dorks and he said not this season

so ass

The 8.7 Soft Boiled Egg and the 9.0 Symmetrical Egg are still available online. Actually much easier to find than any of the recent wider eggs.

Please post links if you have the time I must be having a stroke mid-google search

Assuming you are in the US it might just be Google not showing those UK shops high up the list. Here you go:

Thank you for this! I just ordered myself a symmetrical egg. Didn’t realize they’re so widely available in the UK. Heroin boards seem to be almost impossible to find in the rest of Europe.

Edit: What size Aces would you guys put on the symmetrical egg? AF1 55s? 44 Classics? 🤔

Cheers! Yeah, I have been ordering from the UK since shops in Berlin don’t order/get Heroin boards. Or Germany, for that matter. It’s a bit of a PITA now with Brexit, had orders stuck, being returned, and crazy customs fees, too. But they are worth it, my current 9.25 pop is the best board I have ever skated. Really want to get the wide symmetrical egg, too.

I believe so as the sticker listing the dimensions are the same. I have a used krooked lil snuff and I compared it to the Gerwer shape which I recently got to hold on ice, what I found was that the krooked's nose was more pointy/tapered than the grimple. Hope this helps!

The tail on the smaller Gerwer egg seemed way too small all round, but that could just be me.

Other larger options seemed to have a more normal tail.

How is it for you?

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I have my Gerwer egg on ice, but I didn't really have any issues with the tail when I skated the Krooked lil snuff. I really liked doing 360 flips due to the taper. The only thing I felt that was noticeable was crooked grinds on the nose. It felt strange at first, but I eventually got used to it.

Sick, thanks for the info. I thought my snuff looked a little more pointy, but both shapes look to be my style as a 1992/1993 addict.

Big double egg update: this thing rules! I wish I had bought at least 2.
I re-measured the kicks and they are actually 6.875" each. Not 6.75 as I wrote on my original post.
Everyone who saw or rode this thing loved it as well. Just the shape alone puts a smile on people's faces.
My go-to 8.3 popsicle will be collecting dust for a bit.

Curbs and flatground are where this baby feels the best.

I don’t know if it counts as an egg but I just picked up a passport spade board and some 159s after diving through this thread. Summer set up and I can’t wait

Posted this one in the setup thread already but thought I’d post in here as well.

New Toy Egg shape that’s now being produced on some Axel pro models. Really loving it so far.

Rad!

I love it. First one and it feels great. Especially stoked on it because I’m on a trip right now and usually always have to bring a cruiser board over my regular board (I’m very picky about my cruiser boards and can’t just use a regular popsicle shape) and now I’ve found the happy medium where I can bring this board to skate and then a set of cruiser wheels to swap out when skating to the spot or filming.

Should be nice - straight out of lockdown too, depending on where you were.
