Do you egg loyalists find they make slappys easier, harder or neither? Trying to learn them right now and notice a lot of slappiers use shaped/eggs. Seems like the wide middle might make it easier to tip but I’m not sure if that makes a difference
I don’t think the egg shape makes them any easier or harder. I think these slappiers you’re referring to are just nostalgic for the 90s when curb tricks were popular, and these were the shapes of that era.

Slappies were really a thing first time around before eggs/ footballs. In saying that, I do think eggs are good for slappies. Probably in my head, of course. I like to have a narrower stance for slappies. Front foot behind front bolts and I think the middle width of eggs helps with this. I also like the tapered nose for slappy Ks. But as I've said before, slappies are great because they can really be done on any set up...

..its just a feeling, man..

@BartHarleyJarvis  dude that is such a gorgeous set up. One of the best shapes of all time. Easy.

Thanks! It's so much fucking fun, it's pretty much the only board I've pulled out the couple weeks.

I'm a recent egg convert so I don't have as much experience as these other guys, but I don't think the shape makes slappies any easier/harder. I do like the big round middle for trying to do slides/combos, but all the basics feel the same on the egg vs other shapes.

I’m scared of the short (14.25”) wheelbase but figured it could work nicely with such wide and heavy trucks. Will have to see how it works out for me. Usually I prefer 14.5+” wheelbases with my skinnier boards.

Anyone ride the new football from Polar? Search function showed the people who ridden it liked it, but I wanted to hear more if anyone else had something to add.

i've ridden shaped boards for my past 3 boards and love it. Kinda nervous going from a square tail to a pointy one. Mainly skate curbs and mini ramps.

Yeah I had this one in 2020, I liked it but I would not ride another one. It skated like an 8.25 and the nose and tail were far to pointy for my liking. This is on ace 55 classics with 54 mm 99a spitfire lock ins

I suggest it to everyone, but if you’re going to get an egg shape get the huffer. It is the best egg ever designed.

Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

First time on a 9.125 egg shape and the rumours are true: this is the best egg size! Such a good size for whatever you want to do!

Enjoi Jackson Pilz 9.125
Venture 6.1 hollow
Spitfire classics 54 (I think, I can’t remember)
Bones reds
Jessup grip
Indy bolts

Anyone try the Uma football shape? I'm tempted but the last football I bought was a Quasi, and left me disappointed. Felt much smaller than the dims indicated

Quasi is 9" right? You might go for the Villani or Heroin 9.125, the Uma 9" does feel quite a bit smaller than those even though it's just .125 difference and basically the same wheelbase. I find the Villani too big but still very fun to skate, the Uma might be the perfect for me with 149's.

Has anyone owned the Quasi 9.0 go to hell deck? I was thinking about making that my 1st egg deck purchase. Shape and dimensions look good. Any feedback would be appreciated

not the Go to hell deck, but the Pool skater face egg before that..i think the dimension is the same. short wheelbase. personally i like them..

What size shoes do you wear? I stood on one at the shop and it's too pointy for my size 12, apart from that great looking deck.

That's an old image, not sure where that one came from, there's an updated version of that artwork with wheel wells now.
It's meant to launch Cinco de mayo, some shops got it a little early though.

first session on the Mandy Heroin Egg, 9.1 I believe

fucking love it, real snappy pop and it feels like an 8.75 at best
