And that's really it. Baker really contributed much more than skateboarding with its past videos, it contributed to a culture and that trademark fingerprint is missing in this one. If it had bum fights and vomit and gay bird moments then this would much more tolerable. The skating is actually good. Not great but good. The vintage baker vibe has changed though. That's that shit we wanted and it no showed.

 As much as we wouldn't like to admit it & know the situation Baker/Deathwish hasn't been the same since Antwuan got the boot Greco & Ellington left to start Deathwish.

Do I miss those days and shenanigans of fuckery?  You bet your ass I do much like AntiHero had the punk diy ethos Baker/Deathwish defined an era 2000-2003  and it seem long since past if not watered down after they created Deathwish and the videos that followed.

To give a summary or just my opinion I'll say this

Baker/Bootleg rad skating hijinx for days definitive

Baker2g again definitive and groundbreaking with the random shit here and there

Baker 3 shit was wild as fuck and blew the doors down for skating during that time especially EE part & Antwuan's relaxed style.

Baker has a Deathwish tour that video great video but it was a mixtape of everything after Baker 3, fights random shit and Antwaun being the unofficial mascot

Bake & Destroy another mixtape that was good and had it's moments.

Deathwish Video Bloody brilliant and had that razor edge of good skating Dickson deserved the ender as he reminds me of a hungrier Jamie Thomas in his prime.  Furby and Moose just seemed like filler people to round out the team even though talented weren't marketable.

All I am saying if you look at the chronology of their videos it seems to have that poignant edge that other vids don't have  at the time.

What I am saying is I wouldn't be surprised if this was the final nail in the coffin, and they became a clothing hypebeast brand.

If you watch Baker 3.. besides the groundbreaking skating which is still crazy today...It was funny as hell and didn't take itself seriously at all, in the era of huge budget videos and shit like that. It was so goofy and fun to watch and  has one of the best soundtracks and skate video vibes ever.

This video is the total opposite, it really, really wants to be taken seriously and its the opposite of the previous identity that made people fall in love with Baker. That and the filming just bums me out so much. It's unrecognizable. The skating is good but dude we waited 15 years, not 3 years.

Cutting Cyril Jackson and keeping Theotis was also just the lamest move ever. Idc how many boards he sold, I just can't make myself care about this mountain dew guy doing boring ass manual tricks. CJ was the fucking ender in Bake and Destroy and has dropped 2 parts since then for Baker and they cut him 20 minutes before this shit drops..?

Also for the people saying "OH MAN IT WUZ FREE STFU"...I'm glad it was free cause I would have been even more pissed if I paid for that shit.

This video below is the last video that actually had the OG Baker vibe. RIP Baker era. Such a bummer dude.

While I agree and am a big Cyril fan he did not have the ender in Bake and Destroy his part was second last

It's almost like skate videos can't be as impactful in an era of heavy single parts getting released individually, compared to an era where we got 6 or 7 major videos a year. I mean, in 2005 the other big releases were Skate More, Lost and Found, First Love, and New Blood. The only solo parts back then was the Kalis in Mono stuff put on the Habitat-Regal Road and the BA part in Super Champion Funzone. It's just a different era. No skatevideo will ever be as impactful as Questionable, or videos like Baker 3 filmed 14 years ago. We witness progression way faster now.

This video was good, and one of the better full lengths of this decade, especially for a team the size of Baker.

i like cyril a lot and would have loved to see him have a part, but dude theotis’ part was actually good. He does shit not many people can do manual-wise and the song fit so well. I saw someone’s story from the premier and was so skeptical about how the fuck a hall and Oates song would fit his part but it actually made it that much better. Zach Allen had one of the worst parts I have seen in a long time from a major board company.
Spanky can only skate frontside and takes the easy way into every trick.
Figgys part looked like the leftovers from his last part, but did have a few good rail bangers.
Theotis part was definitely a highlight, his style may be questionable but he has exceptional technique.
Jaccoppo was amazing as expected.
