I wonder what "employment" structure they have over there. Like how many dudes are actual employees as opposed to just... dudes who they know. I'm sorry, but the fact that Braille hasn't thrown Peddy into the metaphorical--or literal--garbage disposal at the first sign of this is pretty suggestive, since why wouldn't they get rid of him unless he could somehow hurt them back?  How is that not the only responsible option when your whole social media empire is built up around the idea of getting kids into skateboarding, unless your social media empire isn't really what it looks like?  Why risk everything by not distancing themselves from him unless distancing themslelves from him is the greater risk?  They look guilty as fuck, man.

Provision of benefits is basically a one-step test for whether someone is an employee as opposed to a contractor.  If anyone reading this knows the girl's mom, please tell her to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible to explore any possible options she might have.  She could possibly sue Braille/Kyro for negligence, and if it came out in discovery that they knew about this and tried to cover it up--even if it looks like they destroyed evidence to make it appear that they didn't know--they are done, just fucking dead meat.
