Thanks GISM. And I agree with what Jordick said, 149s feel great on 8.125. It's all personal preference but I actually skate 149s all the way down to 8. Grab that iceberg board! The shape looks killer.

Cheers boys, good to hear. That iceberg board has a few different shapes, even the "square" one looks yummy. I'm afraid if I go back to magenta it's all I'll ever be able to ride (which isn't necessarily a bad thing)

I've been on the 159/8.5 combo. I don't notice it at all and I definitely like having a wider truck.

DLX boards are the best. You're either cursed or got the one bad board they've made. I only ever stray for new shapes.
[close]

Yup, since 2012 90% of my boards have been from DLX since, and I've always been satisfied by their quality.
[close]
You can always just get a deck that's Bareback/Generator, it's the same thing.

Well, the other 10% of boards that I bought we're baker boards... So yeah BB is pretty much my go to wood shop.

Thanks! Maybe around December I got them from someone off of here for cheap. One wheel still rolls like some Swiss ceramics should but all the other ones are noticeably more sluggish but still decent enough to use.  They always get super dusty skating the desert and I tend to roll through dirt/grass a lot skating weird spots on top of that so that's probably why I go thru bearings so fast. I should just stick to reds, haha

Do your kingpins feel loose? The only time I've tried this the kingpins felt like they were bouncing around and I couldn't take it.

For me They don't feel loose like they're jiggling around in the baseplate but they do seem to slowly loosen up on me over time turning-wise. Near the end of my decks lifespan they're always more squirrelly than usual. Might to have to tighten them up every board or so but nothing too crazy. I've been digging them so far

Real 8.3 Ishod Twin Tail Shape
Mob grip with a strip of the clear shit because the top graphic is rad
Indy 149 w/ Bones Mediums
Bender Phillips-Head
Bronson G3
Bones SPF 56mm 81b

Been on this for a bit now and liking it a lot. I had been riding mostly 101 Formula Fours, so the Bones wheels are something different. Bit bigger than I usually go as well.

every time i've had the ishod twin tail the "nose" seems a lot smaller than the "tail" and I'm just thinking is the graphic upside down????

It is a little odd feeling but the nose is definitely still steeper. I was on an 8.25 Full from Real before this and honestly preferred that shape but I'm still having a good time on this current one.

How are those 81bs?  Could they be good for out of park use as well?  I like those spf shapes but spend most time in the street.

can anyone confirm that real puts out any twin tail shapes that are perfectly symmetrical?

kind of off topic for me at the moment though, since all the twin tail decks are 8" and up, and i want something around 7.9"

im on ishod's ghetto cowboy ii at the moment and although it's not a twin tail it's closer than most decks on the market to symmetrical.

yeah man i have the ceramic bones (non swiss china made ones) on a cruiser.. i had em on my regular setup for a few days and it felt the same - like kinda sluggish.. but i put them in a cruiser and they're really good.. i can roll through puddles and they still have that dirty loud rattling sound.

my current regular board has the swiss 6s and they're really really good!

AND i have set of bones swiss stashed away ive been using since 2014- the shields are kinda dished in but they still roll really fast and strong.

I honestly haven't gone proper street skating since setting them up, but they feel good to me when I skate down to the gas station for a beer or bomb the hill in my apartment complex. Only thing is they sit high which took some getting used to. That could obviously be avoided by going smaller though. I do love the shape, and they are super smooth when brand new. Make wallrides feel amazing.

Couldn't agree more. I'm lucky to have such a rad local shop.
