Nothing beats that sweet feeling of skating while you should be at work.

Is that a Switch skate shop sticker? Newark, DE?
Yes and no. Is from a skateshop called Switch but this one is from Florence, Italy :)
Btw is just me or Welcome boards are like "umm, super nice board and fun. I'm never getting it again"
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

what a nice setup, the boardy cakes don't even look small on that thing.
i wish i had board control enough for a tiny setup like that.

Dude, let us know how you like the hard luck six. I’ve been wanting to try them myself.
[close]

Bought a pair before the whole thing happened or around it. TBH I wasn't very impressed. I have them on a cruiser now.

I had a pair of the Modus ABEC 7 and while they felt slow they were durable. A reliable bearing overall.
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

Not sure how I feel about this shape, but I wanted to throw Al Davis some money, and am mad I missed out on his Headhunter's graphic from the Habitat days.

Quasi 8.375x32.25x14.25
Indy Ti 149's
Spitfire F4 99d 53's
Bones Swiss 6

Really wanted to run my 44's on this but looking down from the nose, looked too narrow, despite measuring out at 8.25 over the front and back trucks (like BMCSteve said). Won't be able to skate it until tomorrow night, but I feel like I might not get along with this shape.

Anybody else try this combo? It looks a little wonky but sounds super fun to me.

I have been doing this for years. Works well, for me at least. I went up to 8.25 with the last board but will probably go back.

I creeped your older setups and they look less awkward than the one above - I'm going to give it a whirl once I retire my current ride.

Thanks

It works just fine. I run it all the time. I'll skate 44s on an 8, too.

Now that really sounds crazy. But after inspecting your portfolio of setups it again doesn't look as awkward as I'd imagined.

You've had some really nice setups btw

Quasi 8.5 (14.25wb)
Ace 44
Spitfire Conical Full 56mm 99a
Bronson Raw
Shorties

I skated about 6 Quasi’s back to back when they first came out, loved the shape. For some reason stopped buying them. Had some crazy madness this past month jumping from 10” shapes to 8” popsicles, decided to go back to my old ways because if it ain’t broken don’t fix it. Super weird getting used to the big full square shape again, and the Aces make the kicks feel HUGE. Might go to my Thunders to help with that. Not sure. Good to be back on one though. Been eyeing it for a minute.

This is a thing of beauty!

I know an old school downhill guy that wraps his grip and cuts it on the underside like we’d usually cut it on the top to have more edge control on narrow longboard tails. Looks like that
