Sorta accidentally accumulated a Christmas complete by sporadically buying stuff to set up later, starting with the wheels when there was a Formula Four shortage. The Krooked board is Mike Anderson's shape and it looks like it's gonna be great to skate.

Krooked Manderson 8.38
Thunder 149
Spitfire F4 53 mm 99d (the Quartersnack ones)
Bones Super Reds
Mob Grip

I’ve been eyeballing one of those Manderson boards with his signature shape. Is the nose as full as it looks?  No taper?

It’s definitely pretty full. I haven’t actually skated it yet but my first impression is that it reminds me of the squared noses and tails I’ve had with boards like Quasi or FA which I really enjoyed.

Is there any wheel bite running Thunders with no risers and 56mm wheels?

I'm on the heavier side around 190 pounds, but I haven't noticed any more than normal wheelbite

190 lbs. is the ideal weight Idc what anyone says 👊

got this same graphic but the 8.75. Shape seems good let me know what you think.

@ passtheish that baker looks great. Rowan’s clean too, noticed the blue pair has more mesh - in the toebox and tongue versus the black pair has suede there.

Saw you post it in another thread, respect.
Skated it for half an hour before the rain hit on Thursday. Wood definitely did not feel as snappy as typical and felt heavy. Did a couple tail scrapes to get the paint off and that helped immensely with the pop.
I like the shape on mine a lot. I had Been riding the same anti hero shape a lot lately and this wasn’t too big of a difference from that.

I really like the graphics on this series, not usually a big 5-Boro fan tbh. What's the shape/wood like?

it is a 8.1...149+ on a 8.1 would be strange(for street at least).

I know, but the trend on this thread seems to be massive boards to match their monster dongs. Rarely see anyone setting up anything less than a 8.25

Bobby did that setup video with 149s on an 8.18. I’ve tried it, it’s odd

Honestly I haven't noticed a difference and they're kinda a pain in the ass to put on since the nuts are smaller than ones with normal 1in hardware.

I obsess and over-analyze my setup just as much as the next guy, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never missed a trick because my hardware was too heavy.

Yeah I wanted to try em for years just to see but I rather just use normal 1in. They're probably better paired with hollows or titaniums. But I don't wanna go down that rabbit hole

Do you run risers? I'm tempted to get 55s but don't know if i'll get bad wheel bite, even with a 1/16' shock pad.
