I like them so far, but if you expect them to be the same as F4s, you'll probably be disappointed.

They come with treads like Spitfire classics, but wear away super fast. I found I did need more effort to powerslide these, but the grip they provide on both rough and smooth ground are really great. One thing I like about these is that when I do tight turns, they don't slip out from under me. I have this problem with F4s. They did flatspot, but it's super tiny and I can't feel them while riding. I've probably ridden them for about a week, so it'll take some more time before I can get a true opinion.

Minor deduction for the Andale bearings. Otherwise, stellar.

Big Balls have blue shields, too.  What’s wrong with Andale?  They have a pretty stacked roster.

Did a couple of upgrades, I initially took the 149 Indys from my cruiser to set this up, but I wasn't really feeling them after riding Aces on my previous board, plus then I had no cruiser. So now it's back to Aces. And since the shop had no Spitfires, Bones or OJs, I figured might as well try out these Rictas.

Send Help Preston Harper 8.5 (PSStix)
Ace 44s (Bones Black top, Yellow bottom)
Ricta Rapido Wide 52mm
Reds
Indy hardware

And now that the whole gang is back together I had to take a group shot

<---From right to left
AWS cruiser
Current 8.5
Old 8

A mini board I say is my son's, but truthfully I bought it years before he was born

LOVE the Thunder Team Hollows.  They have been my default truck since they came out.  The cast plates give them the perfect geometry and minimize wheelbite.  Best pop out there.

CCS custom my 4th birthday

Autobahn 52mm 83b
Bones swiss

Riding custom graphics this year has been fucking fun. Just 1 thing to be stoked on. I highly recommend doing. CCS custom decks are good. I couldn't tell you who their supplier is. No identifiable marks except for one I had that was prime. This shape is great.

My actual production boards just shipped today. And they're not a graphic I've shared yet, but now I feel like they're not gonna get as positive of a response,

I’ll be the first to admit that your taste does not coincide with mine. I think it was you that used to post setups with a chuting starr sticker or something like that, and then just....a very mall sports early/mid 2000s aesthetic. Looking back I think you were maybe just too advanced for me.
This graphic is so fucking sick

I was on that early 2000s shit before the nostalgia kicked in. Chutingstar was dope. They had a free indoor park and would order whatever I wanted from distributors.

OJs Little doodies 58 mm 92A

Been cruising with my big cruiser for a month or so now with 78A 60 mm Ricta Clouds. Compared to that these Little doodies feel slow as fuck. But at least these slide. Managed to do a few reverts today. No ollies still for a while, but I feel like it's all coming back, slowly but surely.

[close]

Those doodies scare me and yet intrigue me at the same time.  The riding surface looks tiny.
[close]

They're pretty much balls. Weird ass wheels for sure but slow as all hell. I gotta switch out the bearings and test them again but today i tested them side by side with 101A Formula Fours, 87A Keyframes and 78A Clouds on asphalt and they were noticeably slower than any of the other wheels. Maybe I'll report back here or the wheels thread.  :)

I had a set a year or 2 ago, they're just slow. It won't matter what bearings you have in there. And they're super easy to flat spot.

SML big dreamers 92a are fuxkin slept of so bad. I’m so close to ordering those oj nomads. They’re 95a with OJ duro I always found their 99 to be hard like some companies 101s. They’re shaped like the tablets too which is cool. I want a set of oj elites hardliners just thinner. Has anyone skate Brian sumbers new wheel company EMBRACE? The wheel look quality but so did ORBS specters IMO those were the slowest worst wheels I’ve ever had. Why is spitfire formula four so yellow colored ??

cracked my fa 8.5 yesterday on an nollie varial heel attempt. broke two of their decks during covid times, either quality has dipped or i got fat :-\

my choices were to get the same shape or size up a bit. the only 8.75 my shop had in was this deck. bit the bullet even though the 13.75 wb and 31.65 length was screaming at me no. just gonna keep positive and if it doesnt work out, i have a fun cruiser and learned my limits on deck shortness. my previous shape will always be around.

it is DEFINITELY THAT. and I noticed the wheelbase change big time. So weird, when I was skating before we barely thought about WB, I mean no one talked about it...at 44 and just returning to skating, I noticed this thing is definitely sluggish pushing around....but...

....in the bowl I skated yesterday and on my 2' mini, holy shit! so stable and smooth, like a cadillac! I am skating a 5" wood bowl today, really interested to see how it gets through the tighter pocket and corner.

My friend told me to get the board because "youre 44 and dont need to ride a teenagers set up" and I kind of think hes right. I just need to ollie up and over stuff semi-consistently right now (until I can get back on my flat bar consistently) skate some curbs, and keep working on my park/tranny skating. There are no 360 flips or varial heels in my immediate future. this board might be a keeper.
