Black Half Cab Classics

I feel like you and me were praising the rowans all summer and now you’re skating black half cab classics and I just started skating a new pair of black half cab classics earlier this week. They skate so good. We’re on a similar shoe tip (except I picked up a pair of tiagos and have tried putting them in the rotation).

Either way, you’ve got good taste. Sick set up. I was running back to back passport 8.38s on Indy 149s for a good few years but on a quasi 8.5 square shape run right now, but I think passport has my favorite all time graphics.

Thanks! Honestly I still prefer the rowans but needed a bit of a change in looks even tho its a similar shoe. Had a gift card for my bday and figured why not. Tiagos look cool but its one of those shoes where I know it looks better on other people than myself haha.

The passports a bit steep. Felt good on ollies and grinds but flip tricks were a bit wild today. Still stoked on the set up and am sure it will mellow out as it wears a bit.

Never had a quasi 8.5 but their 8.38 shapes have always treated me well.

FA Dill 8.5, 14.25 wb
Ace 44 with extra washers on the inside and black/yellow Bones bushings
Spitfire F4 Classics 52mm 101a
Bones Swiss
Some local brand griptape that went on real easy but seems like it might come off easy as well.

The spit classics look stoopid small compared to the wide rictas I had earlier, but they kept flatspotting and I figured any F4s are worth trying if you get a 30% discount.

Nice setup. How you liking the Indy bushings on thunders?

Don't take this the wrong way because I'm completely incompetent at gripping boards:

Does no grip at the ends of your nose and tail no fuck with you?

I one time did the g stripe (correct term?) on the side on accident and that fucked with me. Thought about doing a speed stripe in the middle but I can barely even pull off flat black.

I need to watch a grip video like one would a trick tip video
I recently stopped gripping the tip of the nose. No effect on flips, no roughed up thumbs.

I have a skateboarding podcast and some days we do reviews, a new local brand sent me this board from his first drop to test:

- Tribunal 8.25 (Clutch B7 shape)
- Recicled Sunrise griptape
- Indy 7/8"
- Indy 149 GT Hollows
- F4 99 conical full 54
- Swiss 6
At first I was quite scared about sizing down from 8.5 but it worked wonderfully.

I haven't tried the b shape. I love the clutch K.

I'm interested in how it does too.

Customized one of the new Anti Hero Lovers 2 decks into an Alien deck. 8 3/8. Sticker says 8.4.
Indy hollow forged 149
Bones STF 103 52mm V5
Swiss
Generic hardware
Mob
Carroll remakes

Snapped a fairly new Real deck doing a pop shove on flatground, but I'll take the blame for a bad landing.

Definitely never would have known it wasn’t an alien deck if you hadn’t said so.

Beautiful setup mate.

I am curious about your laces, is there a reason why you keep the front unlaced? Not gonna lie, looks dope.

Thanks! So I do a lot of heelflips and go through so many laces. Since shoes don't come with extra, and whenever I buy laces at target or whatever I always get the wrong size, or they end up being a lot worse than the laces that came with the shoes so I figured abrasion would miss the laces this way.its Been working so far but honestly I hate how it looks. But I don't hate anything more than laces that don't match

Silly I know
