I think this is setup numbers 17 & 18 in my quiver.

17 & 18? Damn. Do you still ride 1-16? I have a hard time balancing three (2 setups; one made while the other was locked in my work office during beginning of COVID lockdown and a cruiser).

Can't speak for him but once I got past like a dozen or so what basically happened is I have like 1 or 2 "daily drivers" that are usually either an 8.25 square/full PS (quasi, scumco, snack, strangelove etc) deck with ventures, an 8.12/8.25 DOA flat also with ventures, or an 8.25 bbs that isn't TOO steep (usually passport, topx, or lately birdhouse) with thunders... I skate one of those setups like probably 70% of the time. Then like 20% is days where I kinda specialize..either my legs either feel really good and I'll skate something steep like a hockey on indys or they'll feel like trash and I want something really snappy and easy to pop like an 8.3 enjoi football or plan B on venture/ace lows. Then like 10% of the time I'll skate just weird shit that I was curious about (various random decks on theeves or films) or something bigger like an 8.5 AH or scumco on indys or smaller like a 7.5 girl deck or 8.1 blind football that will be interesting or FUN for a little bit but too far outside my comfort zone for me to skate it regularly.

When those wildcard days roll around I'll sometimes grab 2 or 3 setups and just do some stationary ollies in the basement while I drink my coffee and whatever feels the best or most intriguing is what I skate that day. It's really cool to have a bunch of setups to choose from, but for a while there I was skating a different setup every day just because I could and it really kills your consistency and progression.

Yes! Just 3 short years ago, I was like you. 1 setup and a zipzinger. But once I started playing around with different shapes and sizes, it's hard to stop. There is always something new out there that I haven't tried yet. It's fun and exciting. I've been skating for over 35 years. 18 setups spices up the marriage. If progression and consistency are what you're after, this is not for you. But I'm 44 and just trying to have fun.

Same wood in the same presses, but as BBS does four in a press, some might feel steeper than others.

Almost, but not quite. My theory is that it’s the same wood in the same presses, but as BBS does four in a press, some might feel steeper than others.

Sorry there were technical difficulties as it kept coming up with unable to connect, but I guess it posted the answer each time.

Sometimes there are too many choices, but other times I really feel like getting out a certain board for a specific trick or purpose or something and I usually have one that will fit that need.

Other guys who are only on one complete board at a time often think I am nuts for having so many setups, but there are boards with big wheels, small wheels, harder and softer wheels, looser trucks, tighter trucks, cruisers, almost dead completes I don't mind throwing around (not actually tossing them) and options, as well as a few different places that they live, so there is always a board somewhere when I want to skate.
I have a park board and a street board. I would bug out of I had any more set up.

I definitely have my favourites though!

The other thing that doesn't help is having access to way too much skate product, new and used, as I like to set up old completes from second hand parts I get as trades back in from the guys I skate with, sometimes to ride myself, but mostly to have so if someone else needs a board, I have one handy, as well as being able to try different types / brands of product that I would not usually ride or have set up.

If I had access to more gear I would probably do the same thing honestly. I just feel like it helps my madness to limit myself lol. Also it makes my wife happy.

I knew I recognised those wheels, just couldn't place them, but Jason Adams is one guy I had more time for than most.

Are you a happy Bronson raw customer or are they just another bearing to you?

Always look good!

I wonder if they realised they put the concave pic on the wrong boards, eg the popsicle shape is with the shaped board for the right side pic.

7.9 dwindle flat shape, like real flat
ace 33
bones swiss
spitfire 52mm
compulsive doodle grip

took it my local secret covid curb a couple times this past weekend (pics from before) to skate some flatground. took a sec to get used to how flat it is.

anyone else ride ace 33's? if so what size board are you riding?

8.6 x 33 | 14.75" WB Snack Roger Krebs board (I've been watching Arts and Culture a ton so I bought a snack board and a couple snack shirts from Seasons out of Albany, which is an awesome shop)
149 Indy Hollows with bones medium bushings
54mm F4 Conical Fulls
Reds
Jessup

It's been sorta of cruddy over here in New Jersey so after breaking my last quasi on flat 15 minutes after setting it up, I've been mostly just skating my rain board or my cruiser til recently when it was dry enough that it made sense to set up a new board.

I have a set or two of the 33s, one is on an AH 8.125 which is a bit wide for them, but they still go ok on it.

That Dwindle though - is it a special board / sanded the graphic off / anything else to say?  Only because I have seen some people want really flat boards but almost all Dwindle are too steep in some area, even with different options for concave / kicks.
