I like the look of that. Always thought 144s would be too short for 8.5 decks, but they look good here.

They‘re certainly on the short side but I rode them with an 8.5 before and it was fine. I prefer magic carpet to hot rod (less likely to primo) but might put on some broader wheels eventually.

Lol that's not an exact quote but close enough. Knew I'd strike a chord with that one. I'll concede that I already hate the AWS graphic, I only got it because it was cheap and the right size.

However I'll stand by the Element one that I'm currently using. I like the art style. It's not just [hip brand name] printed next to a picture of a random inanimate object, photoshopped together in 2 minutes.

I can’t do hard wheels anymore. I’ve been skating hard as fuxk wheels my whole life (except the 80’s) and a while back I took my cruiser out for a normal skate and am hooked. I don’t skate parks and don’t get buck anymore so hooning around, curbs and hills on softies is the move. Anyone else in the softies camp? And yes, I’m old 😆

me too dude..i'm 42 and riding soft wheels..just got a 83a enjoi filmer wheel & drkrminc 92a triclops. I find that the 92a drkrminc wheels are a tad harder than the ricta clouds 92a..

Same camp as you, 31 and I love my OJ 56mm 87a Plain Janes. I don't really hit skateparks, just fuck around in the streets.

The F4 97's are the ticket!  Feel so good on my old body.

I loved mine but they went from 56 to 48 in like 3 months. Maybe I'm being stubborn but it irks me a bit. Not saying I won't get some 58s next time I need wheels though.

bones riser pads fits ventures & thunder trucks. if you browse the Tactics website, they will mention which riser pads is not suitable for a particular truck.

Yeah bones do fit great, I just went with dooks because I didn't want to stack two 1/8" bones risers. OCD thing. Before I went with bigger wheels on these Ventures I ran 1/8" Bones and it was nice.
