Thank you Xen that's exactly the answer I was looking for. Gonna avoid the bones this time around and try to locate the green boys. Really don't wanna have to hand tighten these.
It saddens me that I cannot ride any truck even remotely close to stock. Then again I've never tried the new royals..
The most common thing that people I know do who always want trucks way more loose than they can be stock is take out the bottom washer. At first this might seem a bit weird, but it seems to give them exactly what they want in terms of turn and loose feeling without changing the geometry at all, so they say.
Of couse, I would think that it changes a lot, but I have skated their boards and they sure do turn well, with whatever bushings, stock or other, without the bottom washer on there, but it is just another thing that people do to avoid extra costs of buying this and that, while still having the same products.
Personally I have often cut or more recently sanded down just a bit of the top bushings (on the grip of the board), to make them fit better, as I still prefer to have all washers in place, but that is just me.
As a very simple, free and easily reversible option, trying the trucks without the bottom washer is now something I say to people to try first, just to see. Some really like it while others get a bit weird with it, but it definitely does make everything more loose, that's for sure.
* I know this doesn't exactly help if you never had the stock bushings in those trucks to begin with, but in general, these options make things a bit easier when trying out stuff when you do have trucks from new, or at least any trucks that do feel too tight with the existing bushings.
