Got a pair of WKND Loosies recently. Really dig how they fit. Elastic waist + button/zip fly.

Of course I fell in em the first day out.

i ordered 2 pairs of the 93 knockoffs, light blue and dark blue in XL, i have genuine pairs of both colorways in 34/34 so i'll be able to compare. i paid 48 bucks for 2 pairs but i got a lil discount on one pair
Do they stink? Mine smells horrible. Washed then twice, even out them on freezer for 24H and nothing.
Waste of time and money.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

@moonordie my ali 93s are slightly baggier than the real thing (they kinda fit like the 36/34 did on me leg wise but the waist is a true 34), the pocket guy looks off but not like comically bad, still it’s easy to tell them apart, the denim is a bit thinner, back tag is almost identical other than the very slight differences in color, mine didn’t smell or at least not as much but then again judging by our slap activity i’m a lot easier to please 😅

if the guy that makes those did blank pairs with no tags at all i would exclusively skate those

i’ll post some photos tomorrow

Happy that yours don't stink, mine were horrible. Washed them twice and left them in a plastic bag for 24H in the freezer and nothing, they still stink. At least I got the money back and gave them away.

I got my pair of fake big boys too and they're pretty nice for the price. The fit is on point, the denim is sturdy enough, and they honestly seem better quality than the Enjoi Fader jeans I've had for years. I got the black pair and they're not straight black, they're that denim black where the back weaving is white if you know what I'm talking about. Not something I'm bummed on, I just thought that was interesting since I haven't seen an actual big boy colorway like that. They do smell heavily like chemicals though, even after I washed and dried them on hot (which I usually would never do for clothes). The smell reminds me of b&w photo developer so it makes me weirdly nostalgic  ;D

Anybody tried the Volcom Billow pants?

yes
solid pants
fit is between big boy and 93

be careful with the sizing, it's a lil bit oversized (i usually go for 31 or 32 for TTS pants like Dickies but I go for 29 or 30 with the Billow)

Nice! Thanks for the info I usually wear 32-33 in Volcom pants (Solver I believe is the model), maybe I'll go just for 32

In true slap nerd manner I bit the bait and ordered the fake 93 pants in black.

I own several real ones, didn´t need pants at all but I was just too curious about counterfeits and how they are made. It´s a product I know and can compare easily. As was mentioned before the denim seems surprisingly decent as far as I can judge. It also stinks a bit which I´m sure would go away after one swamp ass session. The labels seems pretty ok, but I don´t really give a shit about that so I didn´t look too close. However, the sizing is way off (at least at mine).

I wear a 33 waist with a belt so I figured I´d take size L. I can close it over my fat old belly but it seems even the L is still made for anorexic baggy loving kids (which I know is the real target group anyways). The cut on the other hand is super baggy and it´s probably the same as the aliexpress big bois, mine are way bigger than the original 93s. I will not send them back, just gift them to a kid to skate the shit out of (and of course tell the truth about where they are from haha).

I wonder if anyone at polar/dime has seen this shit on here and can do anything about it? Probably not...
Anyways if that´s the quality of chinese fakes in general, they still have a lot more homework to do than I thought.

tldr: they stink (a little) and the sizing and cut are way off, imo absolutely not worth it.

must be a qc issue. the big boys i got were cut crazy weird, made em into shorts, but the 93s were pretty much on point, maybe a centimeter wider than the real thing, but that was to be expected since i ordered the xl and they're supposed to fit like a ~35 n i wear 34s

Thought they stopped making those, but it looks like they're back. Found an old size chart from before Polar switched to the stupid/useless ones they have now - the leg opening isn't included here, but I believe the karate pants fit like surf pants in the top half, but have a straight leg, rather than tapered. Heavier/thicker fabric than the surf pants, as well. The ideal pants for me would be surf pants, but made of the karate pants fabric.

Was watching the Jordan Trahan crailtap pick ups video earlier, he was mentioning that he designed the chocolate ATB pants off some chefs pants, wonder what pair they were, need to find a cheaper alternative, I know the cookmans are what most chefs wear but I feel like they taper tooo much I think the leg opening is like 7 inches or something, needs to find a good chefs pant with a 8.5 leg opening

if the cookmans come in longer lengths, you can have them hemmed, the hem now being further up from a wider area makes the opening wider. so like hemming 34 in lenght to 32 can give you a wider opening.

Anyone tried the Alien Workshop 2.0 baggies? Wondering if sizing down is better for a TTS waist fit.

Going to pop in to do my yearly reminder, Polar Surf pants are kinda trash. I got them on an insane discount, and still don't feel they were worth it.

WKND Loosies Ripstop are similar but a lot better IMO. And can be found for shockingly cheap in my experience.

IDK what "Karate Pants" are, but I bet you can get whatever they are for a fraction of the price elsewhere lol

I support Polar and their boards, but their clothing is just such an offensive gouge.
Skateboarding is the ultimate challenge.

Shaka wear does a easy pant that’s pretty nice, kinda tempted to grab a size 38 of their denim and see what’s up, 25 bucks for 13 oz jeans is pretty nuts

I used to own 4 pairs of surf pants and they were my go-to pants for skating in the summer for a long time. However I only own 1 pair now. Every single pair I've owned have had the color fade in the wash. I don't get it. You know when black pants start to look dark purple cause of color fade? That's how they look. My blue, green, black, and khaki surf pants all faded after owning them for a while. Bummed cause I love the fit, just cant justify full price for these anymore.

However I still fuck with the denim. I love me some polar pants.
