Ahhh yes @BartHarleyJarvis the bootleg Big Boys... Had my run in with a pair a couple years back on Mercari, absolute shit quality when compared to the normal ones and the fit was, bizarre to say the least... I tend to stay away from Big Boys on marketplace platforms now, just not worth the risk and as you stated, the varied sizing and quality.

Kind of a random question, but someone might have the answer. I bought a pair of Pangea jeans from the first run in a size 38 and even though they were stamped with a 38, they are clearly more like a 36 at most. Anyone else know of this or run into a similar issue? Obviously with 1st runs, there is bound to be some variability and dialing in, just curious cause I'm kind of bummed they didn't fit like I wanted.
[close]
general rule with Pangea is size up. I’m a 32 in most brands and I get a 34 in pangeas. Waists fit tight like you said. Only thing that didn’t fit that way was the tan cords they have rn. Those 32’s fit like 34’s, 34’s like 36 etc
[close]

Good looks on the insight. I have a pair of the feldspar pants in a size 38 and they fit like a real 38, hence my surprise when I copped these and it just didn't meet my expectation. Pants are a fickle thing, I never have an opportunity to actually try on about 95% of the pants I buy so a lot of my information comes from here or the sellers. Grabbed a couple pairs of Tightbooth pants recently from someone and they were super informative, giving me measurements and everything, which made things much easier and reassuring.

On a side-note, I've been noticing brands like Butter, Cash Only and Pangea doing smaller runs of size 40+ pants, sometimes only going up to 36 or 38. If you could actually see me you'd think that's ridiculous, as I'm about 5' 4" and have a 32 waist, but I like my pants big and baggy, might be a sign that the baggy pants "trend" is on its way out in the eyes of the manufacturers.

I def have slimmed up my kit, I had like 12 pairs of butters and cash only, unloaded those off to the kids at a recent skateshop get together, currently wearing sized up 550s

Has anyone tried the Last Resort AB PM001 pants yet? They kinda look like surf pants with all the pockets and belt loops from the pictures anyways.

i'd say 32?
Carhartt may fit a lil wider around the waist but they have a cool fit that way.
haven't worn a 32 in a while (except Cromer jeans from huf). i usually rock a 34 or even 36.

you want your shit to fit without a beld or some wiggle room ok? if some room is ok, id say go 32 since they might wear in/ stretch out with wear

I want to fit with a belt, i like extra room/space on the waist.
Usually 32 waist Is not okay for me(too small), but with Polar 93's Is okay (with belt). I also have some volcom Louie Lopez 34waist and Is so good with belt, so comfortable to skate.

I had the ones from 2 years ago and they were more tapered than these I returned the ones you linked. Leg opening too big for my taste but if you want a denim 874 these are a good call.

On the topic of Uniqlo U pants I just got a pair of these in beige and really fuck with them. They’re a nice baggy fit, pretty similar to the Butter Goods baggy cut. They’re thick cords, which I love, and have big ol pockets. They’re already sold out out in most colors and sizes but I’d recommended them if you’re in the market.

I purchased a second pair of buttergoods core denim after a year and Im bummed. I like my pants to be a loose but fitted waist and these run like 3 sizes up from last year’s batch. Mad confused, im a short gawd who wears size 28 in these vanity sized skate companies and these are def 32 waist. Id avoid.

Anyways, does anyone know a company that makes hardwearing loose fit - not too baggy skate jeans? i tried theories plaza but they dont feel that durable.

Thanks to @Texas_Tone rec I have a pair of these on the way. 13.75 should be fairly heavy and Red Kap is a pretty known workwear brand so they should be super durable. Will report back

I grabbed two pair for work as well, they could tapered a bit more but for 20 bucks you can’t go wrong, super comfy, decent denim as well

I have a pair of double knee GX1000 pants that are easily the best quality pants I’ve ever purchased. The material is so soft and thick it’s almost worth the price. Better quality materials than my dimes and polars. Just the dimes and polars are nicer in terms of design.

These are a similar color to the Louie Lopez cords and a baggier fit, but you might be interested in these cords. They’re made by GU, which is a smaller Uniqlo sister company. I’ve heard good things about them online and I might get a pair later on.

Not sure about the pricepoint your looking for but standard issue (Jimmy Goreckis Brand) has some nice options for sweatpants, I size up most my shit though

I really like the CJ Collins Volcom pants, but they are out of stock everywhere. Anyone have any suggestions for similar fitting pants? I like these becuase they are chinos, but have pockets more like jeans instead of slash pockets. I feel like Dickies might be similar, just don't know where to start.

i’ve gotten too fat.
these b01s have a little vanity sizing to them, but not too much. i wear a 34 waist dickies 874, and buy 32 waist b01s. after a wash and dry the 32s bite into my shameful back fat, but they relax quick enough.
the washing and drying cycle is killing my b01s, they all blow out at the top seam from the double knee around the front pocket. i try and rarely wash, rarely dry. i have a lot of pairs i need to figure out how to repair.

if anyone sees any of the denim version of this pant up, lemme know, i think they got discontinued, which sucks.
