It was a while ago but I bought some 149er Thunders before the latest revision and they were wheelbite city. I loved the pop and the turn but I’ve never actually been pitched by Indy or Venture High.

What was wrong with them? I wanna get them as well, but if they're shit, I'll just cop Big Balls and pop the sheilds.

maybe my deck too, it's a quasi board. it just doesn't feel right, maybe it's too flat. it's kinda hard to pop for some reason, feels really sluggish. been thinking about retiring it prematurely but have only skated it 3 times. might just need to get used to it.
[close]

Same here. I got an Real Ishod 8.38 Twin Tail because I wanted to size up my boards and see if the twin tails was worth the hype. Not been liking the board much at all. Lost my kickflips since I usually pop them with my nose. 8.38 feels too unwieldy for flips. And the damn WB is unmanageable. Went from Thunder 148 Titaniums which was giving me ghost pop, to Indy 144 which slide better but make the nose feel too light.

I've only skated it for 3 weeks and I already want to retire it. It would still make an excellent wall hanger though.
[close]

I've skated a similar sized krooked full shape and IMO, the width isn't the problem. I thought  it was at first but both the twin tail and the full shape dlx boards have too long of a wheelbase unless it's their se models.
[close]

The 8.3 x 31.9 TT is the DLX 14.38"WB - nowhere near as unwieldy as the FULL editions.
[close]

Yup this is the one, I got 2 more Real Kyle Walker boards (8.18 x 31.85 x 14.38) that I'm hesitating to setup. Strangely my previous Busenitz board (8.06 x 31.8 x 14.38) felt a lot more manageable despite having a similar WB when paired with Thunder Titanium 148.

Why are the FULL models unwieldy? Nose and tail too blunt?
[close]

I will buy those 8.18 x 31.85's off of you

That's my shape

Thanks for the offer but I'm in Asia, so shipping to the US would be killer.

Blind price point deck, I was asking for it

Looks like I dodged the bullet there, there was a Blind price point board with no graphics on the front or backm doing for $25. Glad I didn't take it.

Anti-Hero Black Widow, it’s 8.5” but skates like 8”. Felt too dangerous to skate.

This was a bit ago (thankfully) but I got the ugly ass Na-Kel colorway for the 3st.002s and I honestly kinda liked the shoe design and they lasted forever but they were maybe the worst shoe I've ever owned to look down at and pretty much all the clips I got in em feel like ass because of how truly fucking ugly they were.
[close]

You are talking about that white & green 3st.003, right? These were not really talked about on here and i thought that was weird because usually when such a turd gets released they get smashed on here. Might have missed it though. Picture for reference:

[close]

Nah those are 003's, Nak also had a 002 colorway (dunno why they keep giving this scrub colorways since he has ass taste). These are the hideous things I got. Mind you I got them on a serious, serious discount.. I think they ended up being like $35 from Active or CCS on what seemed like almost a mistake discount

Ah ok, didn´t know this was his colorway but in hindsight it´s kinda obvious.

came here to say something similar. Anti Hero Russo Still Life, 8.75"
Beautiful pop, great for a front shuv, but i skatedit for 30min and slipped out on a slappy crooks and fucked my back ankle. Couldn't walk for two weeks, couldn't push for two months, four months later I feel like I'll never fully recover.

Sold that shit.

I didn’t like how much it tapered down ( got it online)  but the main reason was stupidly small nose. Now that I think about it I dunno why I got in first place as I like my noses to be big/huge🤔

a few years back, I stopped by the shop to grab a deck before going out skating. I was kind of in a hurry to meet up with some friends so I grabbed a Real price point and set it up real quick. drove 30 minutes to a spot and the board split right in half down the plies within the first 10 minutes of skating. needless to say, that was the first and last real board i’ve ever bought. i still enjoy krookeds from time to time but I don’t think I’ll ever buy another real.

That's rough, I had bad luck the first time I got a real also. The tail cracked on a nollie heel. Support did send me a free replacement though which was awesome.

happened with my last PS stix too; was that square 8.5 shape that everyone loves. Good for the first few skates and then just felt really awkward and lifeless

I’m sure this is going to get some heat, but the last purchase I was bummed on was a polar deck last year. It was the perfect dims but the kicks just gave me a really hard time on my trucks at the time which were indys.
I don’t really regret many purchases these days since I have found value in knowing something just doesn’t work for me.
LOVED the graphic too

Foundation board. I've had two and broke them really fast. I've had 2 sets of ricta wheels that I didn't like. I thought I would like them as much as speed rings, but nothing has been as good. Other than bones and f4s though which were better.

What formula on the rictas? I actually like the nrg wheels
