Not sure if it's already been mentioned in this thread, but wanted to put this out there for all my wide footed homies: the New Balance 417 (Franky Villani) is NOT wide at all. New Balance is one of my go-to shoe brands since most of their models seem to run pretty wide, but these 417s are a disappointment in that regard. Way too tight in the toe box and forefoot.

They look really fat/round in the toebox tho...weird...kinda like how the tiagos look wide but they aren't.

Got also tricked by those 417s. Shouldn't really buy shoes without trying them on. Been skating Zahbas lately and they feel okay for me. Could see them not working for someone who needs wider toebox though.

Yeah the looks are a bit deceiving. They've gotten a little better after breaking in, but I'll definitely be moving on from them prematurely. If my feet were any more cramped I would've just sent them back to begin with. For reference i'm only a size 10E, not anything crazy like OP.

On the subject of midtops, anyone got any suggestions for slightly wide foot options? The Emerica Pillar was okay for me, but it looks like they're being phased out and I was never in love with the colorways. How does the Winkowski fit? Converse Louie mid?

I've had the louie mids, they are super floppy, bag out fast and don't really offer any suppport. I didn't enjoy them.

Myfleeters.com

Fleeters shoes. Add them to the list of wide / anatomically correct toe box non skate shoes that would work as skate shoes.

Even got a little suede patch on the flick spot

Unfortunately the price is too high for how short they would likely last when put to the abuse of skateboarding

Y'all. This one.
I wear size 14. 6E work boot. Wide as a mofo, duck shaped as a mofo.
Splay 101 gets my highest possible recommendation. You want that real real wide toe box? Get these.
Will update as I skate them more.

shape is definitely good. price is a bit high (although not as high as many barefoot / minimalist shoes) - i am extremely concerned about how fast they will wear out. worried about the price / hold up over time ratio. let us know!

I've also been skating Zahbas and they work for me too. I agree though that they're likely not going to work for most folk with wide feet.

Greetings all. Back to report on NB 480s. I approve the width, best to try them on at your local though as they run long. Im a 10 in Busenitz vulc, Forum, 3st, Japan Pros and dunks (all wide approved) and just about everything. Extra room in the toe but after a break in sesh things were feeling normal. More structure and padding than Japans, far less bulky than a Forum. Digging them so far

Side note i got some adidas shelltoe (superstar) sz 10 as chillers and have half a mind to skate em. Maybe coulda gone up a size even to accomodate width without a clownshoe feel. So any flipper footed friends gearing up for terrace season, id say theyre worth a crack if you have the coin

the Winkowskis fit great for wide dawgs, TTS. surprisingly supportive for a vulc

Good to hear. I was wondering about them. Don't know of it's been mentioned but Converse Fast Breaks are pretty good for my wide feet now that they're worn in. I saw someone mention Skate Hi's - I also found they were really nice and wide. No support though.

Anyone try the Lakai Ludlow yet?  The description says slightly wider/90s inspired.  Just wondering if there was any feedback yet.

Im pretty done with last resorts and their thin sole.
You guys have any tips for other shoes?

What's the general opinion on adidas, nb and Nike?

I have no idea about Nike. But I can give you my experiences with fragile duck feet.

The Busenitz looks hella cool but I found the padding in the toe area a bit too less. Same for the Puig Indoor. Both were wide enough for me tho. Forum Lows are tanks but they felt uncomfortable and not that wide.

The NB# 272 is by far the widest toe box I ever tried on. The midfoot and heel area just felt a bit too narrow. NB# 306 is a nice wide vulc shoe but lacks a bit of padding. NB# 600 is very good. Toe box is great and the internal arch support is nice. Insole could maybe be better. But it is one of the very rare shoes that I can wear and skate straight out of the box. They get better over time and mold to your feet. Would recommend these to most people that want to try a cupsole. If they would have fit me well, I would rock the NB# 1010.

I just got the Nike SB Leo Bakers and they absolutely work for my wide fucked up feet.  Only these 3 shoes pass my "shoe checklist" for wide and run slightly bigger than TTS. (I wear 9.5 but my feet are probably 9.75)

- Vans Skate Sk8 Hi
- NB 1010 (mesh toe only)
- Nike SB Leo Bakers

If you have wide feet and feel like you are in-between sizes, try these out.

*I've probably tried on at least 80% of all shoes shoes out right now and only those 3 comfortably work for me

I just ordered some Form ADVs per the good advice from Xen a few pages back.  We'll see how it goes.

They're easily the widest of the 'dunkalikes' (Dunk/480/AS-1) especially in the midfoot where the 480s are tighter.

i have a pair, i did not skate them but they feel like they would skate well, they do feel pretty roomy but my feet aren't all that wide so i'm not the one to judge. @Shiro417gunpla posted pics of a skated pair and it looked like they were pretty durable.

Second this notion. Look at that sole. The forefoot real estate are absolute ping pong paddles and I love it.
