I just got the Nike SB Leo Bakers and they absolutely work for my wide fucked up feet.  Only these 3 shoes pass my "shoe checklist" for wide and run slightly bigger than TTS. (I wear 9.5 but my feet are probably 9.75)

- Vans Skate Sk8 Hi
- NB 1010 (mesh toe only)
- Nike SB Leo Bakers

If you have wide feet and feel like you are in-between sizes, try these out.

*I've probably tried on at least 80% of all shoes shoes out right now and only those 3 comfortably work for me
[close]
Second this notion. Look at that sole. The forefoot real estate are absolute ping pong paddles and I love it.

To update what I said I do recommend going up half size in the Leo's. Idk if the sweat from my foot shrunken the shoe or what but they dont fit like they did when I first bought them.

I now still fully recommend the Vans Sk8 Hi as the best Wide shoe option (on my 15th pair lol)

Skated the Joslins cupsoles for the first time today. Were snug initially, but felt good 15-20 minutes in. Of course won’t suit everyone, but worth considering/trying.

Thanks for sharing. Good to know they’re an option. I tend to grab shoes on sale and haven’t seen the Joslins going cheap here in Australia.

They launched a skate line? Hi and Lo $88 -NO 1/2 sizes*

*Splay shoes generally run true to size.

However, due to Splay's unisex sizing and barefoot shoe shape, there are some slight differences for men and for women:

Women: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the larger size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little small for women.

Men: If you are in-between sizes, we recommend that you order the smaller size. If anything, Splay shoes run a little large for men.

FINALLY. THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT SKATEBOARDING HAS BEEN WAITING FOR. Trust me, in the future, people will look back at this shoe as the one that changes skate footwear FOREVER.

If you are a vulc guy, i would suggest Lakai Griffins. Probably can get them cheap too since Lakai pretty much kicked the bucket.

Yeah, it is nice, but I need some support. I am wearing
Barefoot shoes right now, but I wouldn’t skate in them. You need almost a year to get used to running in barefoot shoes, how long would it take to get used to skate in them?

That's been my experience as well. I went shoe shopping yesterday. The NB# Foy fit my wide and fat feet (half a size up), the adidas Aloha Gonz shoes did as well.

I am skating the Etnies Aurelien Michelin right now. They were a bit tight in the beginning, but work really well now. It's a very solid shoe overall. It holds up very well.

Well, I don’t see it within four pages back…. But the iPath Grasshopper is nice and wide… so is the mid foot. And the heel.

Thanks y’all. It’s been fun.

I ordered the Splays (so you don't have too). Delayed shipping (crazy long time from Utah).

Out of the box they were horrible. Thin upper, like, verging on OG chuck taylor thin and super thin feeling sole (good board feel tho just standing on boards). Felt horribly cheap, footprint (neens) shoes seem top tier by comparison...like Temu level cheap but worse. Zero ankle or tounge padding, shitty vans style nylon crap laces.

They don't have half size so following their recs  I got a 10 (I'm a 10.5) 11 would have been fine.

Sent them back the same day.

The ONLY pro was that yeah, they are a wide/barefoot shoe...but I wouldn't even get them for working out in.

That's disappointing. They failed from the start by making the toes of their skate shoe canvas. The 101s would probably be a better skate shoe because at least they are full suede.

I picked up 2 pair of the last resort VM001s on sale for AUS$50 each and was surprised by how well they fit. Plenty of room and comfortable to skate. Hated the OGs. Sole was too grippy, shoe too narrow and zero cushioning. They're much improved. Again, not not everyone's cup of tea. I'm glad I gave them a second chance.

Anybody post these yet? Price is ridiculous but they're 4mm drop and have sort of an Altra-esque toebox which is kinda interesting.

Has anyone tried these by Strike Movement? Anatomical toe box in a skate shoe. They even have a team of sponsored skaters. @visit_ryangallant @thefellers @kristianpeltzer

Downside is $140

They claim the material is more durable than suede though

Unfortunately despite near universal claims of the 1010 being a wide toe box shoe, I regretfully must report that it is NOT wide at all and in fact its even narrower than a fair number of skate shoes I've tried (and I've tried almost all of them).

Going up in sizes does not yield any additional width, only more space in front of the toes while at the same time resulting in the toe placement ending up closer to the mid-foot area of the shoe which is even narrower than the toe box area.

Pictures show my feet with the widest part placed over the widest part of the toebox and still hanging over by nearly an inch on each side.

Not that wide. They do loosen up but first couple sessions were not that comfortable. Great shoes after that.

Holy shit... and I thought I had wide feet. What shoes do you typically skate in? I skate in the Vans Sk8 Hi and love them. Based on your foot shape I cant even think of shoe that would work for you
