Meh, I don’t even like Pateks, I’d rather give my son a well worn seamaster

Design wise I like the nautilus more than the royal oak, yet  all the other patek models don‘t appeal to me that much.

I like simple, titanium Citizen Eco-Drives. I think of them as nice, competent watches for working class folks.
I lost one in the sea watching surfing two weeks ago from a pier up on the central coast. Had it for years, was devastated.

Replacement arrived today. Other one would have lasted me a lifetime.
ok thanks

epic entrance into this thread! I think the blue will age better anyway, get on a French navy style strap! Although it’s probably too hard to take off the bracelet because Tudor bracelets are that good...

Haha damn Gay, I'm kind of bummed you don't remember me. We went back and forth for a few on page 9. I actually think I said something about the blue aging better than the black  ;)

wait what? Did you change your name? My bad...

Anyway, how are you liking that shade of blue? It’s a lot lighter than the blue used on the bb36.

Nah same name.
Anyways I love the colour. Different shades of blue depending on the light. From as bright as the blue sky to as dark as the deep blue ocean. A keeper for sure!

Dope! I remember putting my bb36 next to one and being surprised how light the blue was but the 36 is super deep blue!
Defs a keeper, I though it wore extremely well for a 39, will look so good in 20 years time when the bezel starts to ghost!!!

So i keep looking at the tissot PRX.
I don‘t need it, but yet who needs another wartch.

For 320 its great bang for buck.

Anybody seen it in real life?

I’m not sure I get the appeal of them, having said that tissot (and 99% of longines watches) have never really been a brand that jumped out at me...

In other small watch news, glycine has now dropped a 36mm combat sub, I don’t need another diver but if I did ... AND it’s 8.5mm thin! @pica you down?

You like the least “Patek’d” Patek, the Nautilus is a bastard model that’s only popular because of rappers.

My watch collection is as follows:

Grand Seiko Heritage Snowflake
JLC Reverso Duo SS
Tudor Pelagos (Blue)
Seiko Padi Turtle
Seiko Samurai Manta Ray (Gradient blue dial, deep blue silicon strap, black ceramic bezel)
Vintage Rolex Datejust, Jubilee two tone bracelet with fluted bezel w/ white dial & Arabic hour markers)
Omega Moon Watch
Brand New Rolex Yacht Master (Blue dial, platinum bezel)

Might sell the YM, Pelagos to raise cash for a Root Beer Rolex GMT Master.

I’ll take a few pics tomorrow when it’s light out. Tbh I wear the Seiko Padi Turtle the most, so I’d probably say that. The snowflake and Reverso are next up, and the rest of them I could easily sell without missing. Don’t be too impressed, a few of them were purchased used (like the Rolex watches), so it isn’t like I dropped above MSRP at an authorized dealer or anything. I got lucky on the Yacht Master, someone literally bought it and then sold it used to my friends business after a few months of ownership.

I see, funny that out of all those the seiko is getting the most love! Just goes to show...
What speedy do you have?
I hear lots of people rave about the Pelagos, is it really that good? (Size would be way too big for me)
I’m sure your date just would hog a lot of wrist time too!

I love and adore Seiko, they’re my favorite watch brand ever. I can’t say enough awesome things about them, the only criticism I have is that their “lower end” divers like the Turtle/ Samurai sometimes have misaligned chapter rings, so it’s best to purchase in person. Macy’s has some awesome Fathers Day sales usually, you could get lucky if you have one near you… I also love JLC, they’re known as the watchmaker’s watchmaker for a reason. The movements they’ve made for Patek Philippe pieces have been awesome, and the Reverso is a classic with rich history.

The Pelagos is great, I personally love it. It doesn’t fit as large as you’d think, I have small wrists too. It’s lighter in weight than I thought it’d be, but it’s still weighted so it feels like a quality watch. Some older gents make fun of me for wearing Tudor, they say it’s for kids who don’t know any better even though I’m almost 40 lol.

I bought the Moon Watch recently new for just over $5k after taxes, I fell for the hype even though I’m well aware that the Seiko Pogue is the real moon watch and the Omega is just a marketing stunt…

Believe it or not, the Datejust receives the least wrist time out of all of them. It’s from the 80’s and I bought it for $2,100 several years ago, so it’s an old relic that I’m weary of wearing often. That’s kind of why I love just wearing the Seiko Turtle, I don’t have to worry about it since it’s a robust watch that I don’t have to worry about if I’m doing yard work, swimming in the pool, playing soccer, etc.

For anyone interested in the Seiko Turtle, I prefer the aluminum bezel models over the newer “King Turtle” models with the ceramic bezels/ cyclops day/date. For some reason the newer ones feel lighter and the bezel turning isn’t as satisfying…

Surprised your date just doesn’t get enough wrist time, still want some pics of your collection! I’m not a fan of ceramic bezels either really; I like my watches to age and ghost bezels are fricking sexy!

the rattling is what charges the watch, it’s a sign of the rotor spinning. Having said that, rotors can get loose over time so there’s rattling and then there’s actual “rattling”. For price of mind, you should probably get them serviced to ensure they stay running/ in good condition
